I can address this question with some confidence because as it happens, I did have a twin brother who has died. The phenomenon which people describe as telepathy is not actual mind reading, it is simply a very high level of familiarity with another person's mind. In any given situation, my extremely similar twin brother (while he was alive) would think pretty much the same thing that I would think, therefore, it was very easy for me to figure out what he was thinking. The question now would be, since he is deceased, can I still tell what he is thinking in the afterlife? Do I receive telepathic messages from heaven? No, I'm afraid not. Death remains the final mystery.

Getting back at your husband for ignoring you in front of your children is immature and it is wiser when the children are not around to discuss this bad behavior by your husband. It's not about getting even with your husband, but trying to work out your problems in you marriage. If he will not discuss this problem then suggest seeing a marriage counselor and if he refuses that then tell him that you are not staying in a marriage where he ignores you in front of the children because both of you are suppose to raise your children with good manners and not show them how to demean a woman.

With all the love, compassion and comfort you can give her. Relatives, friends just anybody visiting her with a positive attitude will uplift her. If she is able, find things for her to do to get her mind off of it. Always tell her that she is going to beat this. Don't let her get depressed, find something uplifting. Make future plans, even if you doubt they will come true. Give her something to look forward to. The reason I know so much about this is because I'm a 65 yr. old woman with breast and lymph node Cancer. My Doc's say that because it got into my lymph nodes it will most likely come back. I can't work, I'm losing my car. My daughter pays for my I-net and Phone but rarely comes to visit. I have no TV, cant afford it. I have two grandchildren who I only get to see on special occasions and that last for no more than 20min to half an hour. I have a lady who checks on me 5 days a wk. to make sure I'm alive, not my daughter, she never even calls. I'm just sitting here waiting to die. I haven't been anywhere but to the Doc. in months. I'm not trying to Boo Hoo and make you feel sorry for me. I'm just trying to make you aware of the little things you've got and in a way how lucky you are. Think about it. Cherish every moment you have with her.

Find the type of girl that you AND your dad can relate to, don't find someone that only cares for your dad's attention, but yours as well, the girl should have some experience with kids or teens so they at least know what they are doing, also if your dad finds someone he likes but you exactly don't like the person, then tell him. You should not have to live with the fact that your dad is in love with some one you don't like. I hope this helps, and good luck with your search:)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a brother and sister who are close and just act like a family should. Often society wants to create the worst images of any situation, or they cannot imagine a brother and sister who actually get along. Brothers and sisters should be able to spend time together having fun and enjoying their childhood, reliving it, or creating new memories.

I would like to add that it is not just the basic food, shelter, clothing triad that keeps children alive, but also the active moulding of character, personality, talents, and emotional and physical well-being of the child.

I would look at your dilemma as one of 'persuasion', not 'making'. You will need to convince her with all the pros and cons to owning a lizard. You need to do the research on which type to own, what is needed for a good habitat, where you will keep it, what kind of food is needed, how to maintain its health, veterinary care, alternate caretakers in the event you and/or your family go on a trip, etc., and the cost of it all. If your mom does not like lizards at all, you might not win her over.
