A hyena pack can easily bring down a giraffe calf and kill it.

First of all, a masai giraffe has spots that look like sunrays (dark brown). While, the reticulated giraffe's spots are kid of hexagon shaped(a brighter brown). Other than that, they're basicly just different breeds.
