Does time spent on a working holiday visa count towards indefinite leave to remain qualification?
No - only time spent on a visa that leads to settlement counts towards indefinite leave. Working Holiday or Tier 5 visas (under the Youth Mobility Scheme) aren't long term visas that lead to settlement in the UK. Therefore any time spent in United Kingdom on those visas does not count when you made your application for indefinite leave to remain. Time spent on a Tier 2 work permit, a Tier 1 Highly Skilled Migrant Permit (HSMP) or Ancestry Visa will count. Of course these are just the most common visa types - there are other paths to settlement. You need 5 years in total of time on Work Permit / HSMP to get ILR.

The Application Form
The only way to renew your expiring Green Card is to file Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card. In the meantime, if you need confirmation of your status so that you can work or travel, you can make an appointment with your local USCIS field office through Infopass to get a temporary I-551 stamp on your passport until your new card arrives. This temporary proof of status is good for one year and that's good since it may take that long to receive your new Green Card.
Now, if you are a conditional permanent resident who has a two-year green card and your Green Card is about to expire, DO NOT use Form I-90 to renew your expiring Green Card. In that case, you are required to file a petition to remove those conditions within 90 days of your card expiring by filing Form I-5751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. If your conditional status was based on a marriage, you must also file Form I-5751.

I really believe that there should be an immigration law granting legal status to children of illegal immigrants older than 18 and who have completed high school, who have no criminal record and are "bona-fide" citizens (or should I say "residents"). Unfornately, as I said before there is not one right now. I have seen many heart-breaking stories where many illegal immigrant children of illegal immigrants can not go to college, even if they have good grades and have good aspirations, all because they do not have a valid Social security number, because they are illegal in this country.
