Entomology is the section of zoology that refers to insects. An entomologist would be a person that studies the behavior and genetic makeup of insects.

I have kept a couple adult specimens for a short time. Unfortunately, their life cycle is all but finished once they reach their adult phase. I kept a female specimen for three months, and I even observed her feeding in the face of convenitonal wisdom that states the adults do not eat.

If you really want a challenge, find the larvae- hellgrammites- and raise them in fast running water until they pupate.

The plural is simply 'Daddy longlegs', ie, "I saw two daddy longlegs this morning."

Weta lay between 200 to 300 eggs at one time depending on their size. The eggs then take between three to five months in order to hatch.

The reason people stink is because they don't wash up or brush they teeth or do any of that stuff!:(

It would hurt for a while then you would get over it unless you don't like insects in that case you would possibly develope a fear of earwigs

well it depends on the leaf bug, if it is green and looks more like a leaf i don't know but if its a brownie colour, then you have to give it blackberry leaves (but don't worry it wont hurt them) or wrap the plastic wrap around a water bowl and poke a hole in it and put a branch with some leaves in the hole, this is so it doesn't drown and also remember to give it lots of love as this will make it use to you

Yes, if you mean lightning bugs, you have to capture them first- they only are active in the summer a colonly of them in a large fruit jar, well it has possibilities. The bugs, along with the glow-worm produce cold light, unique in the animal kingdom and only imperfectly copied by mankind. exactly how the cold-light reactions go is still somewhat ofd a mystery, there are thought to be two fluids- Luciferin, and Luciphrase, and both are required to get the greenish cold-light reaction.
