A dragon flies almost like a bat or bird flies. they have mustles, bones, and flaps of skin on their wings to propel them trough the air. some dragons have feathers (that makes them fly exactly like a bird). They use their tails and heads as rudders to help them turn with pin-point acuracy. most Earth, Nature, and Water dragons can't fly or don't have wings.

Like most insects, fruit flies and gnats develop from eggs. they lay their eggs the eggs which are called larvae. Larvae then hatches and maggots come out. Maggots then turn into puparium (cocoon like). Then these hatch into fruit flies. The hole ordeal take 48 hours.

An intimate, symbiotic relationship exists between antsand aphids. They are often compared to cattle, with the ants acting as protectors and ranchers. What aphids have that ants want is something called honeydew, a sweet substance that is excreted by aphids through their anus and contains surplus sugar from the aphid's diet. Ants protect aphid eggs during the winter, and carry the newly hatched aphids to new host plants, where the aphids feed on the leaves and the ants get a supply of honeydew.

In "How the Other Half Lives," Jacob Riis highlights the poor sanitation conditions in tenements, where sinks often stink due to inadequate plumbing and waste disposal. Many tenements lacked proper drainage systems, causing sewage and waste to accumulate. This unsanitary environment led to foul odors and increased health risks for residents. scavengers are kind of like "nature's vacuum". they feed on the remains of dead animals and the remains that other animals have left behind.

The monarch butterfly has the longest migration of any butterfly species. They can fly from southern Canada to Mexico, a distance of 3000 miles. However, most of those that make the long journey South will not make it all the way back to their starting point. Instead, they will fly North until they find suitable habitat (milkweed plants), mate and lay eggs, then die. The offspring will fly further North, and the migration will continue in this stepping stone fashion.

Fire ants go through many phases of metamorphosis. They go through egg, larva, and pupa stages before they reach adulthood.

Its juvenile stage looks just like the adult, but smaller and wingless. It molts to grow, and in the final molt the wings fully develop (instead of pupating into the adult form). Insects that do this include dragon/damselflies, mayflies, grasshoppers, cockroaches, mantises, aphids, cicadas and true bugs (Hemiptera).
