Dinosaurs were fist named as a group in the late 1800's, but that was only when people were aware of them for the first time. Unless we could take time traveling trips around the world, this question may remain unanswered.

Why is it an advantage for a lizard to be the same colour as a rock?
Having 'camouflage' enables the lizard to blend in with its surroundings - reducing the chance of being spotted by a predator.
a lizards tail can grow back because it can also reproduce asexually but also reproduce sexually as well so when it reproduces asexually it grows back another body part. and the part of the tail will produce
another generation also known as regeneration
Its been said that eating them may be dangerous because they feed on poisonous plants and mushrooms. I still bet there a recipe out there for it.

Reptiles breathe air through their nostrils and their mouths into their lungs. They don't have gills and if they swim underwater they have to come to the surface to breathe.

What do you do when you find a lizard egg?
It depends on what kind of dragon egg you're looking for really, and no, they cannot just be found simply everywhere. Its sort of like in Eragon by Christopher Paolini...You kinda have to be chosen, if that makes sense.
songjongsuk: haha that is if they actually exist. Dragons are just creatures which are made up by people smart enough to combine the body of a snake, the feathers and the talons of an eagle, and the breath of......well, fire. The point is, if they really exist, as far as I know, no one knows where. But i probably agree with the earlier answer-if such magical creatures exist, you have to be CHOSEN. You can`t expect a majestic and powerful creature to just be found and cracked open.
