Are you having early pregnancy symptoms if you have had cramping on your left side about a week after ovulation and your nipples have been hard and sensitive?

Pregnancy symptoms can start as early as the day of conception, if it is a week before your period there are tests you can take a week before your period that will tell you if you are pregnant or not but a definite sign is a missed period.

Should you be concerned if you have missed a period but you are sure ovulation has occurred and a pregnancy test is negative?

Well, if you are for sure that you did not have intercourse around your ovulation time then you are probably safe, but just keep in mind... There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test. After conception does your temperature rise immediately or can it take a few days?

The moment you ovulate you body starts to manufacture progesterone to protect the impending pregnancy. Your basal temperature would raise by 1 degree from one morning to the next once ovulation has occurred. (i.e. Wed. 97.5, Thurs. 98.7) This proves you ovulated. You still have to wait the standard time to see if the egg is fertilized and implants.

It is important to remember that not all women will see a thermal shift of exactly 1 degree F, the thermal shift could be delayed and not occur immediately after ovulation, and that the methodology used to detect the BBT can greatly influence the temperature reading.

When is pregnancy possible on a 28 day cycle Starting day day 1 is the 1st day of period bleeding?

During a 28 day cycle a woman will typically ovulate sometime between days 12-16, and she will be fertile for up to a week beforehand when there is fertile quality cervical mucus present (this mucus helps sperm reach the fallopian tubes and can help keep sperm alive in the vagina for up to a week).

It is however important to understand that unless you're tracking your cycles with Fertility Awareness Methods then you cannot accurately determine when you are fertile - as cycles can change you could be fertile at any time without realising it, so if you are TTC use Fertility Awareness Method, and if attempting to prevent unintended pregnancy use birth control (FAM can be used as birth control too).

you can get pregnant and would not be a period, if the spotting more than light best to see your gynecologist - & don't forget about yearly pap smears

AnswerHello -

Im really not sure what could be causing the bleeding. Spotting can be releated to pregnancy or UTI and some women have claimed to experience spotting when ovulating but Im really not sure myself.

Because the spotting isn't your actual period then its still possible to get pregnant. As this spotting is abnormal for you, see your doctor for a investigation into the cause of your bleeding. Good luck.

What are the chances of getting pregnant during ovulation if he just puts it in for a couple of strokes but it was after he came in a condom?

Very High. Too high to mess around with. After he has ejaculated inside of a condom, semen remains on the inside and the outside of his penis. If he then takes the condom off and puts it right back in you, it's basically just as bad as if he never put one on in the first place! In general, great care should be taken to make sure that his semen never gets anywhere near your vaginal opening, including the come that remains inside of his penis for up to a few hours after ejaculation.

Careful ladies!

Can you fall pregnant on the last day of ovulation?

Technically the ovum (egg) needs to be fertilised within 24 hours of it being released for it to become a pregnancy. The trigger for release is a rise in a certain hormone which "ripens" the egg. Your cervical mucus changes as this hormone begins to rise in anticipation of fertilisation. The cervical mucus can also keep the sperm alive long enough for it to meet the egg. Therefore women are said to "fertile" over about a 3-4 day period. Unfortunately you cannot tell how soon after you begin the period will the egg actually be released. It is USUALLY about three days - but can be two or four or even five days. I am not actually sure how you are judging your ovulation period, but theoretically you can get pregnant the day after. Ovulation isn't an exact science and when you ovulate can change month-to-month. I actually fell pregnant 4 days after I thought I was "fertile" - so you can never tell.
