What are possible causes for pain in the lower abdomen to the right of the belly button?
Sharp pain could be several things - in that area of the body are many muscles that you might have strained; also ovaries if you are a female; the appendix is there, and will usually be a steady pain that gets worse if you press the area and let go suddenly, along with a fever; also it could be something in the intestines or other digestive organs. If it does not go away, or if it is not relieved by over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, you should see a doctor to find out what it is. If you have that appendix fever and odd pain that gets worse when you let up on the pressure, you should go to the E.R. at once.
If you took suboxone on Friday and had urine test the following monday would it show up?
Suboxone takes about 72 hours to leave your system. However, Suboxone does not show up as an opiate on a drug test, so I wouldn't worry about it anyway. They have to specifically test for it, and my doctor says they hardly ever do.
What does it mean when you have sharp pains in your breasts?
This is one of those questions where you really need to see a doctor for the answer. Sharp pains ANYWHERE on your body are not good sign. And no one is going to be able to diagnose you with just one symptom, such as sharp pain. If you're looking for someone to say that sharp pains in your breasts are normal, or if you're looking for someone to say that sharp pains definitely mean one thing or the other for sure, no one on here can do that for you. ~ T
Can you get addicted to feeling pain?

What if you have Back pain while inserting a tampon?

What do you do if you have sharp pains in elbow?
It depends. If it's a sharp stabbing sensation coming from the interior of the forearm it's most likely a partially torn tendon. (Very painful) It also depends on how this happened. Whether it was a blow to the area affected or excessive repetitive use will determine the recovery time. If it's a blow to the area, it should heal within a month. (Only if you give it rest and refrain from lifting.)
If it is caused from excessive repetitive use, it will take quite a bit longer. Usually up to eight months. Every injury is different. Therapy may be necessary. Usually strong anti-inflammatorys and ultra sound treatments are used to help treat tendinitis.
If you are worried about work and this is where the injury occurred, your employer is required by law to give you time off. This is all made possible with F.M.L.A. (Family Medical Leave Act) During this time they can not fire you. I recommend seeing two doctors. Just for a second opinion. Usually if it is a tendon, your doctor may want to give you an x-ray to see if a piece of the bone was torn away during the initial incident.
For younger individuals I do not recommend getting a shot of hydrocortisone via direct injected into the tendon itself. I suggest talking to two doctors from separate clinics that specialize in sports medicine before considering it.
Added Information: usually these injuries occur due to misinformation, IE: working out for too long. You have to remember there is no quick way to getting stronger. It takes time. These injuries are quite common, thanks to the fitness industry who sometimes claim working out for long periods of time will give better results. While it is good to push yourself, no more than an hour should be spent at the gym. You need to give your body time to recover. It is not a matter of how much or how long you lift; it is only a matter of whether you do it or not. If you feel like something hurts, listen to your body and give it rest. This type of injury can be very painful and cause reoccurring injuries due to your first incident. Please listen to your body!
What can you do to stop the pain from ovarian cyst pain?
I found out I have two cysts, one the size of a baseball. The only thing that really works to releive the pain is to take an entire container of ice cream and place it directly on my lap. Eating it is optional but it helps to avoid the messy cleanup later:)
I would say yes. after sex some pain can be normal. it can come from your boyfriend/ husband thrusting too deeply or if you had "rough" sex. it can also come from the penis hitting the "top" of your vagina. no worries.
ANSWER
if its not rough sex as above poster says and it is regular (ie happens every time you have sex), that is a worry!
there is all kinds of reasons for it and they mostly are medical, i suggest you go see your doctor about it because leaving it will not help and probably only make it worse and it could be something that can easily be sorted.

What causes chills in your lower leg?

What is the best painkiller for knee pain?
For a knee replacement I am not sure how intense the surgery and physical pain afterwords is so I can not tell you an exact answer but most likely the doctor would either give you high Oxycontin's (atleast 40mg, the highest they make is 80mg and who knows maybe you will get 80mg, if the pain is as bad as back surgery, probably 80mg, if much less severe (not MUCH less just a noticeable difference in pain, then probably 40mg or 60mg Oxycontin pills) or you might get morphine (sorry but I am unfamiliar with the dosages of morphine, but I do know that even the lowest dose of morphine is pretty intense (intense as in extreme pain relief) so the lowest dosage of morphine is probably about equal to 40mg of Oxycodone (which is the drug in percocet and drug in Oxycontin as well, Oxycontin is called oxy-contin because its continual release, it has a coating on it and its a very small pill, it has no Tylenol in it like percocets do.)
In conclusion, you would only get Oxycontin or morphine, there arent any other narcotic pain relievers (that are strong enough (for example there is vicodin, a weak percocet, and theres also darvacet, like a weak vicodin, and probably some others too) it really just depends on the doctor in the end. If your having financial problems he may give you the one that is cheaper (im not sure which that is) but equal in pain relief to the other drug, so theres nothing to worry about.
What kind of doctor do you see for pain in the appendix?
Usually, a doctor who specializes in internal medicinewill consult on this one. And an abdominal surgeon might get the call to do the cutting if surgical intervention is warranted. (An emergency surgeon will have done a number of these operations when "right now" is the order of the attending physician.) Those are generalities, however. What actually happens depends on how bad the symptoms are when the patient presents, and which M.D.'s are about the facility at that time.
How do you get knots out of lower back by yourself?
The best option would be a physiotherapist. They will be able to massage the knots out - but even an inexpert massage will help. To massage it out, locate the knot on your back. It will be a small ball about the size of your thumb. Circle the knot firmly - it should be slightly painful to the person. Work each knot for a minute, then move on. Do each knot over twice. Swimming is also good exercise for the condition as it "works" these muscles. Also try heat pads to lessen tightness in the muscles. And a cream like Voltaren will reduce swelling. It should take about a week to make a noticible difference if the knots are bad and about 4 weeks to completely disappear. To stop the knots reoccurring or getting worse, examine your lifestyle for the cause of the knots. Is it the position you sleep in? Is it stress? Is it the way you sit at work?

How do you get rid of a toothache?
Please see your dentist for a permanent solution; a temporary way to ease the pain is with simple pain medicine, or a numbing solution such as Orajel or Anbesol. Also, avoid very hot and cold foods/liquid, which can irritate the tooth.
I am a "Road Warrior" and at times when I cannot get to a dentist fast so I try everything. I have gone through the Tylenol, Asprin, Advil and found the BEST is Aleve (Naproxen Sodium) for those frugal folks.I take three Aleve and about 10 to 15 minutes later the pain is tolerable and about 10 to 15 more minutes the pain is gone for the most part and I can continue on without trying anything and everything to make it go away. Funny enough, the Aleve helps me faster than Vicodin does...
Can toothache cause bad headaches?
Yes, a tooth infection can cause a headache. Also, be aware that certain sinus conditions can mask as tooth problems. For example, although not common today, it still happens that growths in certain sinus cavities cause pain, drippings, other symptoms that lead doctors and dentists to treat as tooth/gum problems, and too often by the time the real condition is unearthed it is too late to save the patient.
How long does it take till your bone in your neck heals?
The younger you are when you break your clavicle, the less time it takes for the fracture to heal. Children will heal a broken bone in 3 to 4 weeks, teenagers will need 6 to 8 weeks before the broken clavicle completely heals, and adults may take up to four months.

What causes sharp pains on top of head?
Ice pick headache is a kind of neuritis. A nerve in that area has become inflamed and gives rise to these lightning bolts of pain which come without warning, are very acute and make you jump. In between jolts, that area of the scalp may be hypersensitive to even the lightest touch. Most common cause of all this is actually overlooked by most doctors: riding around in a car with your window open (especially with damp hair), or sleeping in a draft. Of course, there are many other possible causes, from being generally run down, stressed, related to eye problems, and so on. These attacks usually occur spasmodically for a few days and then go away of their own accord. It is very unpleasant and scary but is harmless for the mostpart. Treatment is difficult since the symptom lasts only a second or two and the only effective preventative drugs tend to cause bad digestion problems. Wear something warm on your head and ride it out. Don't stress about it. Avoid drafts, especially try to keep hair dry and wear a cap, scarf, or whatever if you can.
What would cause shoulder pain?
It really depends on what you do. If you were in an accident, you could have what I had, which is a torn labrum. The labrum is a cartilaginous cup that helps hold your joint in place and allows for extended movement. When this is torn, it can be very painful to move your arm in many ways, and it may be uncomfortable to have your arm dangling down at your side, which is where a sling comes in handy. Talk to your doctor about the next step in deciding what is wrong. You could have done a dozen other things, but my expertise is in this one possibility. Try to get a referral to an orthopedic surgeon if your physician does not have the answer. Physical therapy is another great option. Can you get chest pain from sleeping wrong?
Clogging of arteries possibly but I would take some Mucinex if you are coughing and if it still does not stop then go to a doctor.
Currently, physicians use self-reporting on a 10-point scale, where 1 is the least pain and 10 is the worst pain. The rating is subjective, meaning patients rate their own pain symptoms. However, physicians and medical / nursing staff can also use objective criteria of what they observe about a patient and the patient's behaviors.
