That Would Give You About A 70% Its Not Really All That Great But It Might Gert You In. If You Can Take It Later Try To Get It Above 1300. I`m A Little Rusty On This But That Is What I Would Try. Good Luck
What is a 370 on the SAT test considered?
A fail....
The average is 1500 so.. even per section that would be sub par.
But with desire to achieve, discipline in your studies and determination to reach a goal you can surpass that bar of 1500.
Also get any help you can: books, tutors, or online and free ones if you cant afford much
Does it look bad if you take the SAT or ACT multiple times?
After 28 years I am a returning student to the college arena. It does not reflect badly on you if you are required to take the SAT or ACT exams more than once. Much of the information and processes some of us had to learn has changed over time. So if getting updated knowledge and retaking these tests is needed I believe it is better to do so now than to give up the dream.
AnswerNope. As long as you pass it, they do not care how much you take the tests. It just takes a lot of money out of your pocket. AnswerThey do not look at how many times you take the SAT/ACT tests. They just look at the highest score you got and that's it. Whether you take it 1 time or take it 5 times, the colleges don't care. Just your highest score. It only looks bad if your scores do not improve.
AnswerSome colleges suggest that you should take the SAT at most three or so times. This is because taking five or six SAT's shows that you are overly desperate to get into that college (and there are better ways to show your desperation). My advice is to take it once and try to improve your score for the second exam.
What is the age limit for SAT test?
Most students take the SAT in their Junior year of high school. However it is possible to qualify to take it as early as the 7th grade if accepted by programs such as the Duke University Talent Identification Program. Qualifications are based on standardized state and national test scores. You can also take it in 5th grade if yo work very hard.
How can you improve your writing skills?
Two ways, and neither is quick nor easy.
First, read. Read. Read. Read. Then, read. Reading often will give you a terrific feel for the way language is used and how ideas coalesce into sentences, paragraphs, chapters, etc.
Second, write. Write and then read what you have written aloud to yourself. Make your lips move. This will let you know where the text needs work. When you "feel" that an area of your writing needs work, you MUST actually work to fix it. Don't be lazy and just leave areas that are crying out for revision or improvement or deletion.
Each college has their own entrance requirements. So talk to a guidance councilor and find out what schools would accept you for a nursing degree. If you need a higher SAT, you can get a coach and study to retake the SAT exam.
Can you take the SAT while in college?
You can take the SAT anytime in your life and prepare start preparing for it, be it online, practice tests it will help you improve the score. Hi, Prepare unit testing test cases. Take each control/object in your progra, write test case (what to enter, alpha or numeric or alpha/numeric, date etc) and what are you expecting from the system once you enter the data. Try all options that you have provided (like Add, Change, Display, Print etc) and see whether the program functions as per the requirement. The program should do intended functions and no un-intended thing to happen. hope this helps
Wow!! you're son is so smart. :) I would say for him to wait til high school.
*It depends on what he wants to do. If he doesn't feel like taking the SAT Math I test, don't push him. But if he's up to it,let him! Just because he's thirteen doesn't mean he can't pass the exams. Actually, there are alot of kids that are already in college by this time, and they are under sixteen. Heck, your kid could seriously do the GED at the end of the year and finish grade school if he really wanted to. I wish you guys luck,he must have alot of talent, and hope he reachs to his highest potential.
What year do you have to be to take SAT?
You can take the SAT at anytime if you would just like to see what your score is like. If you are taking it for college admissions, then you should do it at the end of your junior year or during your senior year. If you think that you would like to take it twice, you should probably take it for the first time at the end of your junior year. You can check the testing schedule or register to take the SAT at collegeboard.com.
I dont believe so because it doesn't seem to be a sound word.
Barron's is the most difficult test prep book. The rule of thumb is that if you can score well on Barron's, you will score well on the real test. In addition to books, you should also check out prepme. It provides online sat prep for half the cost of kaplan.
As a full disclaimer, I am a PrepMe SAT tutor. PrepMe averages a 300 point increase on the SAT and 5 points on the ACT. If you don't score higher, you get your money back.
Can a foreigner take the SAT and ACT and what advantage would there be for him to take it?
Yes to both. A foreign born person can take either test. In fact it is necessary to enter school here in the US. They even have SAT's and ACT's in foreign languages. You do have to have a student Visa or be in the application process before taking the test though. There is an advantage in taking the exam since it gives colleges more information by which to accept or deny a student. Students who take the SAT or ACT or more likely to be accepted into good colleges rather than turned away. There is also debate on which to take. Most take both just in case. Personally I only took the ACT because it deals more with you as a person rather than just asking mundane question after mundane question.
When was new section added to SAT test?
The new section and a new test in general was started in 2003
SAT is a standardized test, giving an approximation of a student's ability in comparison to other students. There is the original SAT test and the SAT Subject Tests.
What time of day is the SAT test given?
The Collegeboard says they are posted by 8am but I usually find that they're up by around 5am on the morning that results are to be posted.
What benefit is there to a middle schooler taking the SAT?
It is great practice, however, this is highly debatable among college acceptance experts. It has been proven that with each successive SAT test you take, it is very likely that your score will increase. However, the people looking at your scores may see that you took the SAT 10 times, just trying to keep increasing the points. I would suggest taking the SAT no more than 5 times. The first time I took it, I got a 1280/1600, the 2nd time i had a 1440/1600, and the 3rd time i jumped up to a 1520/1600. The more you take it, the more you get used to the style of the test and you'll be prepared for the next one, but don't overdo it.
