What is a group of values in a data set is sometimes called a?
a data set with two modes in is sometimes called "bimodal." Multi-modal, always reflects the contributions of each of the data values in the group!
How do you use binomial probability to assess if an outbreak of an illness has occurred or not?
If the illness is infectious then you cannot use the binomial distribution because the incidences of illness are no longer independent events, so that the assumptions required for the binomial distribution are not satisfied.
Suppose the illness is not infectious and the "normal" rate of illnesses is p. Then in a group of size n, the number of units suffering has a B(n, p) distribution. You can then determine a critical region at an appropriate level of significance and test the number of victims against that.
If the order makes a difference, then there are
(8!) / (4!) = (8 x 7 x 6 x 5) = 1,680possibilities.
If the order doesn't matter ... "1234" is the same thing as "1324" ... then there are
(8!) / (4! x 4!) = 70 possibilities
What does mean deviation tells us about the data?
It is a measure of how variable the data is. The average distance from the average.
What is the value of a single shot 20 gauge made in 1932?
Typically old single shots bring little at market. Very few were made ornate, and most were produced to provide a gun at the lowest possible cost. Even more well known makers, won't bring a lot of money. Again, it depends on maker, model, condition. If original and in good condition, most can be had $60 - $125
What is a mode of a set of numbers?
the mode is the number that occurs the most (there can be more than one) "consider the following" mode sounds like most mode most mode most see
How can you find the circumference of a circle?
You must know the circle's radius - the formula is 2*pi*r or approximately 6.28319*r.
The causes of muticolinearity in multiple regression?
There is multicollinearity in regression when the variables are highly correlated to each other. For example, if you have seven variables and three of them have high correlation, then you can just use one them in your dependent variable rather than using all three of them at the same time. Including multicollinear variables will give you a misleading result since it will inflate your mean square error making your F-value significant, even though it may not be significant.
What is an example you can test for regression?
As the demand increases, so does the supply. You must have a data set of demand and supply measured on several days.
What is the relation between median and D 50 value?
For a set of data, the 50% percentile measure is the median. I've seen this referred to as the P50 measure. It is also referred to as the "d5" measure or the fifth decile. or Q2 measure of the second quartile. See related links.
