What is happening in Ukraine?

Life in Ukraine not so bad, because Ukraine is European country. The reasons why life in Ukraine is not so good:

Horrible battles, wars, captivitis, genocides.

Occupation by USSR.

Mafia, which cares only about itself.

Inflation, corruption, instability of policy. If those things did not happen in Ukraine, the life there would be at least as in France or England. That's why a lot of Ukrainians are abroad of their country, in USA, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Italy.

From someone who lives in Ukraine:

Life here is very difficult. Take an average American and tell him to live in Ukraine on Ukraine's average salary, he will die after two weeks. There should not be doubt in this statement. The average monthly salary is around 1000 UAH (USD 120) and there are people who make less and work hard, full time jobs. Prices on the other side are as high is those in America. 1 liter of milk will cost you from 1 dollar. For those who don't know, in 1 galon there are 3.8 liters, or close to it. 1 liter of petrol costs 1 dollar. 1 pair of skeakers... let's say Adidas... something average and not too fancy: from $80. You go groceries shopping and you spend at least 120 UAH ($15) and this food will be enough for two persons to live for 3 days. An average Ukrainian spends 110% of his salary on food, yes, 110%. Small business are going bankrupt because Ukrainians don't have buying power. I am talking about businesses who sell food. Job market is down. In a city of Poltava, the one where I live there are basically no jobs. People are being explointed and taken adventage of. Outside is -20 degrees Celsius (use converter for F) and people work in small street stands. Business owner does not care to put a heater inside. Those poor people have to work 24 hour shifts in those cold places and business owner does not care to spend a few bucks to buy a damn heater. The reason why we live so bad here is not because of wars, battles and any other things that some people may claim. The reason why we live so bad is because of our damn bad government go is sucking all of the juices from its people and because we, the people, are so scared to do anything. We are like those donkeys who allow others to be riden on. Until the moment we drop those crooks off our backs we will keep on living beyond poverty. Speaking about wars... there are lots of people in Ukraine who wish Germany took over our country back in the second world war and some wish Karl 12th won Russia back then so that Ukraine was a part of Sweden. No wonder everybody is corrupted in our country. How can a person survive on that little money. A doctor earns 200 bucks per month and a teacher around 100 per month.
