You can get rid of pimples by using an acne treatment or cleanser. They are sold in drug stores and other stores. I would recommend using Proactiv or a good brand name acne cleanser :)

yes they can get ance. especially breeds like bullmastiffs and boxers who have wrinkly skin. they usually will get this on their chin. You should not put hydrocortisone on an infection. It makes it worse as you have found. Wash it all off then put some soothing cream on, no antiseptic cream until the burning has stopped. It should not take too long for the burning to stop. then it is up to your skin's natural healing abilities.
