The first thing you did wrong is scratching it and then taking the scab off. You need to leave it alone and put a little Neosporin on it. You will be lucky if it doesn't scar. Instead of the hot water as suggested above use a facial mask about 2 times a month and make sure you wash your face every night. Finish with a facial cream. I have found that the Boots products at Target are pretty good. With these things you should be good, but never ever pick at a pimple.

The best home remedy I use is toothpaste, believe it or not! DO NOT USE 'WHITENING' TOOTHPASTE. I use the 'Regular' Crest Cavity Protection. Here is what you should do:
- Girls, pull your hair back into a ponytail and pin or clip back any stray hairs or wispies, especially around your hairline and face.
- Wash your face with gentle soap and warm water.
- Pat dry with a clean towel. Do not rub. You spread bacteria this way, and bacteria clogs pores andcauses acne.
- Squeeze a pea-sized amount of 'Regular' Crest Cavity Protection onto a clean finger.
- Dab onto your acne.
- Note that this is a remedy for 'spot treatment', meaning you should not smear this all over your face. Use it only for acne.
The toothpaste will make your acne feel cold and tingly, so it feels a little odd, but it is not unpleasant. Leave it on for about 2-5 hours, depending on how long you feel you need. The toothpaste should draw out all the pus inside the acne, and if you repeat the treatment the next day, the day after that, you should see that your acne is ready to be popped. Do this carefully and all of the pus you drew out should be ready to flow out.
