Pimples are a form of acne that form due to blocked skin pores. Hormones in our body lead to oil production in our skin. Sometimes due to excessive oil production the skin pores get filled with it and bacteria starts to accumulate in them. Pimples are common after puberty. Practicing good hygiene can help in prevention of pimples to a great extent.

You just might have a boil forming up. :( Careful puncture of ALL the pus-heads and *clean* drainage of the underlying cavities can help. :) A hot wet washcloth held onto the affected area for half an hour to an hour may speed the formation "coming to a head" and becoming entirely drainable at one sitting.

One so afflicted might want (ie NEEDS) to have CLEAN water AND some antibacterial soap for the general area. Some antibacterial gel (Silver Chloride Gel might be best) on hand before the opening-up. ;)
