How are borderline and narsisstic personality disorders treated?
Answer: You need to talk to a doctor, or a psychiatrist. The best methods of treatment for those types are both medication and psychotherapy.
Find some good references to show them that explain the symptoms of it and explain to them what of those you feel. Ask them to make you an appointment with a psychologist (not a psychiatrist first!!!) for a second opinion. If they still don't believe you, talk to your school counselor, nurse, or school psychologist or social worker if your school has one.
ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Symptoms of ADHD:
I'm not a doctor, but I am very familiar with ADHD. I've never heard of such a classification.
There are three types of ADHD: inattentive, hyperactive/impulsive or both. The predominately inattentive subtype relates to people who have trouble focusing on items that aren't of particular interest to them for more than a short period of time. The hyperactive/impulsive subtype refers to a person who can't sit still and control their impulses. Both is, of course, both of these types put together.
Stimulant medicaitons, the kind that is used to treat ADHD most commonly, can be used for each of these three classifications.
What might happen f you are inattentive on the road?

Why does ADHD medication make my child angry and emotional?
Probably wrong medication/dosage. It also depends on when they are angry and emotional, what age they are, and what(if anything) sets them off, as well as what sex they are. I had bad ADHD mild ADD really young, wasn't medicated, and would be extremely angry, agitated, and throw tantrums cause I had all this energy and didnt know how to express it. If they're not in high school, medication should take a back burner. Certain ADHD meds makes kids into zombies and they resent it and emotionally and socially don't develop properly. Boys are also more violent than girls with their frustrations, but both typically want to find outlets for their energy period. Meds are also really rough when you come down off them, even extended. Also ask if they want the medications. They might not, and the anger is just buried resentment of growing pains mixed with the "Im not normal" mindset that can screw up a child's perception of themselves and the world around them. The psychiatrist will typically try and prescribe additional drugs as well as try and find the right balance. This isn't always the best route..I mean, where you prescribed 4 behavioral/mind altering meds at 9 or even 16?
There is nothing online to indicate that Maddy Munsie has ADHD. Maddy is accredited with writing a song called My Love, about marrying a boy named Trystan.
When is stimulant medication contraindicated for those with ADHD?
It depends on the patient and their healthcare provider. If the person has a history of drug abuse, then they should be monitored carefully. Cardiovascular problems are also a big no-no and one's psychiatrist and cardiologist are going to have a long time. Bipolar spectrum disorders, and finally MAOI use.
Although, many physicians will disregard these contraindications as long as their patient is known well and have openness and honesty. Unless it is a physical condition where it can cause heart problems like a hear attack easily.
All I can say to you is this. My son who is 11 and drives us crazy was just prescribed Welbutrin yesterday by our doctor for his ADD and this is due to him constantly getting into trouble at school. He is an honor student but he is incredibly unorganized and scattered. We are truly praying that this will be the answer. My doctor says that it is not habbit forming and the way I look at this, as much as I hate the thought of medicating him as we are really into a very healthy lifestyle is this. If he is happy and productive and gets good grades and can stay out of trouble, we are all the better for this. I believe you are on the right track All I can say to you is this. Why would a baby's arms and legs twitch constantly?
It sounds like seizures. My son was just diagnoised with Complex Partial Seizures, actually I just returned from a trip to the er with him. If your baby is twitching and you hold the child's body part and it continues, it is a seizure. Don't wait, get the baby tested with an EEG through a neurologist. This can cause brain scarring if not treated and could turn into the seizures that effect the entire brain that leads to the foaming at the mouth, vomiting, etc. Not a pretty picture. See a doctor right away.

How many times does children take their ADHD pills a day?
Depends. Any form of immediate release prescription can be taken two or more times a day...depending on the dosage. For example, Adderall IR 10mg is taken two times a day (20mg a day), where as Adderall IR 15mg is taken 15 times a day (45mg per day)....but it also depends on the individual themselves...they may not need the full dosage.
Extended release drugs such as Adderal XR are normally taken from one to two times a day. Though the problem with this is timing the dosage right. If you don't take it at the right time, you're doomed to be staring at the ceiling all night long.
Is Adderall XR a good medication for a 7-year-old girl who has ADHD and high anxiety?
Adderall XR does work for ADHD, however, be careful and be sure that she has the correct diagnosis of ADHD. Anxiety can mimic ADHD. To properly treat and diagnose ADHD the child should be seen by a Pediatric Pshychologist, Pshyschiatrist and Pediatrician. In addition to these professionals her parents, her teacher, and the Doctors should evaluate all aspects of her daily life and routine. If you are in doubt, please see your Pediatrician.
