Two psychiatrists confirmed this to me - however, very few physicians are going to put someone on hydrocodone for this - this is one of those "off-label" treatments. Neither will be had without a doctors prescription, legally. So I think the Q is from someone who has it. I, too, have it. I'm prescribed both. 20mg IR in the morning + 2mg Ativan. They seem to kick in at the same time and last about as long. Later in the day I take a second 20mg IR, usually after lunch so I've got an appetite. Then when the world starts to feel a bit too nasty it's time for that second Ativan. The world didn't used to feel so nasty, but I've been taking Adderall for 6 years with the same dose, roughly, and the "come down" in the evenings without something to smooth it over really blows. Ativan is highly addictive in a sneaky way just like every other benzo though. So *start smaller than you think you need* ... break any dose your doctor prescribes you into 1/4's. Otherwise you'll build up a tolorance QUICK (unlike adderall) and find yourself needing it at all times on an increasing ramp, usually ending with an empty bottle and a frantic call to your doctor. They don't like that. So start verrrrry small. They are safe to be taken together, just be real familiar with both so you know when you can take less. I have my "spares" bottle that grows over time. I'm rather proud of it, it's proof I've been able to skip doses here and there when I simply felt like I could. My final piece of advice: Write the day/night/party/dinner get together etc off before taking the Ativan, if you can. There is no impact on your meds by telling your friends you're just not up for it. The opposite or worse-- diving into the spares bottle for a simple night out? That's a step in the wrong direction. And when taking adderall and ativan together, there aren't many steps, they're very steep, but the view sure is good from up here. :)

So while it's not necessarily bad, your dosage may need adjusting. And furthermore your symptoms requiring the adderall may be better managed with balancing of your hormone levels.

They are both Amphetamines and will show up as such on a drug test. They cannot distinguish what type of Amphetamine you took at an earlier date, only that Amphetamines were in your system. Most drug tests will not pick up on this drug after about 3 to 4 days later, but a hair test will! So I'd use a Hair Follicle Shampoo! Good Luck

Yes you can. Infact this is considered a great combination for these two medications. I took both myself. Doctors say Wellbutrin works very well with Adderall XR and Immediate release. Wellbutrin XL is considered to be on the "stimulant" side of anti depressants, so some may not do well on both.

I have the same question! I am experincing terrible side effects from this drug. The side effects do not outweigh the benefits for me. My job requires me to be very alert and demands immediate decisions. Stratterra has been a nightmare for me so far. Im 28 and I have been on 40 mgs for 10 days. My side effects are getting worse and I feel like this drug is not for me. I feel like I need something else . . . this is all new to me. Any suggestions on how to ask for different treatments?
