Why are computer systems thought to be safer than human pilots?
Because computers don't fall asleep, fight in the cockpit, nor get intoxicated. Also, they assist the pilot by reducing error and minimizing workload at critical times such as take-off and landing.
Do a aeronautical engineer work inside or outside?
Inside mostly. By a desk/computer, designing things.
What is the budget of German Aerospace Center?
The budget of German Aerospace Center is 1,450,000,000 euros.
Why are aircraft propellers made of single crystals?
Single crystal propellers are less likely to suffer the affects of fatigue caused by vibration.
What are the limitations of a mechanical strain gauge?
these are very costly and cannot meet all the requirements. the values we get from this are also not exact .so,electrical strain come into progress
What is the main advantage of scram jet and ramjet engines?
They do not have moving parts (e.g. compressor blades, shaft, turbine blades) needed by turbojet engines, increasing reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and permitting them to operate at faster airspeeds.
However neither can be used at low airspeeds at all, being a significant disadvantage as a different engine (e.g. turbojet, rocket) must also be provided for takeoff and landing.
What job can i get with a Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering?
Aerospace Engineering degree provides a basic knowledge of engineering that will allow you to get a beginning position in any design field. This include aircraft structures, structural dynamics, fluid dynamics, mechanical controls and computer controls. One speciality is flight dynamics that can get a job of flight simulator design. I've known one graduate who was hired by an Insurance company because of knowledge of the various disciplines: i.e. electrical, chemical, mechanical, etc.
The FOE (focus of expansion) indicates the MAV's (micro air vehicle's) direction.
When using electronics what device is capable of changing DC to AC?
A device called a power inverter.
In old vacuum tube radios an electromechanical device called a vibrator was used.
Another device is a motor-generator using a DC motor and an AC generator.
What are the types of beams in an aircraft?
cantilever beam,contineous beam,fixed beam,simply supported beam
What are the advantages of metal propellers?
Not so many. They are generally thought to be more 'efficient'' because they can be made thinner than wooden ones, but modern wooden props are practically as efficient as metal ones nowadays. If properly maintained, wooden props can have a life span of well over 20-30 years.
Why are the leading edges of a shuttle painted black?
the leading edge is black so that there is need for heat absoubtion.
What shape is the least aerodynamic regardless of the direction it is facing or moving?
I suggest a 3-dimensional star shape, each of whose faces are not plane but concave.
Where can you find microprocessor applications in aerospace industry?
There are two type of microprocesser that aerspace designer will find usefull
1, the single chip MOS Processor
2, the bit-slice bipolar processor
An aerodynamic shape is one that is optimised to enable it to pass through a fluid as easily as possible. Generally longer shapes with minimal frontal area are better than short shapes with a large frontal area. A typical shape that moves well through a fluid is called a fusiform shape. This looks like the body of open water fish.
A pal is a colloquial term referring to a friend or familiar. PAL stands for Phase Alternating Line, or Phase Alternation Line as a TV standard, or a Programmable Array Logic in electronics.
The pull of gravity on a camera is the cameras?
the pull of gravity is the mass times the gravitation field strength
this is the weight of the camera
Is the cameras weight
There are two huge advantages. Carbon fiber parts can be stronger than metal parts for the same mass - or, conversely, it can give the same strength with less weight. And an engineer can design a carbon fiber part to have different amounts of strength in different directions.
Disadvantages? It takes more skill to produce a carbon fiber part. You need more equipment. When carbon fiber fails, it shatters. The plastic in a carbon composite is epoxy resin, which is hazardous. And it's got to be painted, which adds weight to your aerostructure.
The biggest advantage of it is it takes less fuel to push your airplane into the sky if it's made of carbon fiber, which means you go farther on a ton of fuel. Pilots like flying farther on the same fuel load. Airline managers like buying less fuel. Passengers like paying less for airline tickets and loadmasters like putting more freight on the plane.
What is the closing percentage of chemical engineering in Karachi university?
the closing percentage of chemical eng is 60% with maths, phy and chem....and 60% test............goddluck.....:)
