What happens if you take 2 aerius pills?

It is never a good idea to take more than the recommended dose of any medication, so Aerius falls into that. Although no dramatic side effects have been noted for taking more than one dose of Aerius, you still have to be careful. If you did it once by accident or thinking it would work better, you should be fine. Just don't make a habit of it. If one dose doesn't work, talk to your doctor about taking a higher dose or trying a different medication. Just be careful. :)

Are you allergic to Flucloxacillin after being prescribed this antibiotic I have noticed I get severe stomach cramps afterwards. I've looked up online for mixed results?

No, that is not really an allergic reaction. Antibiotics should usually be taken with food, because they can cause stomach distress. If that doesn't help, you can ask for a different antibiotic, if the stomach distress is too much for you, and doesn't go away. Technically, your reaction just means that you have a sensitivity. If you'd like to know the difference, an allergic reaction could eventually lead to death, if you continue taking the medication. A sensitivity is more like an annoying side effect.

If you are allergic to strawberries you would also be allergic to what?

If you have Strawberry Allergy then you suffer from allergies Type 1 what is also called Contact Allergies. One or more of the thousands of proteins found in strawberries causes the allergic reaction to strawberry. Scientist at the Lund University of Sweden has identified a protein that is believed to cause the majority of allergic reactions to strawberry. This protein is very similar to the allergy causing protein found in birch pollen. Individuals that are allergic to birch pollen can have a cross allergy reaction to some berries, fruits and to some vegetables.

Researchers have found that the protein that caused the allergic reaction is Not found in the white strawberry. This protein seems to be related somehow to the red coloration of the red strawberry.

And you won't be able to enjoy strawberry poptarts.

Is sneezing a side effect of giving up smoking?

I was a smoke-free zone for just over a week when one nostril suddenly began to feel incredibly dry and then started running like a tap. When it wasn't running I was sneezing my head off (far more than I've ever sneezed with a common cold). It took about 2 days for things to settle down again and now I just have an annoying itch.

What medications and treatments are available if you have a turkey allergy?

Your treatment options depend on how often you come into contact with turkey. For me I was able to eliminate some allergens from my environment (ie just don't eat turkey!). I no longer go near horses as a result. For my allergy to dogs I use antihistimine for the few occasions I have to be near them. A small tablet whenever I need to go near them. For the allergens I cannot avoid (for me it is dustmite, grass and cats), I have monthly injections to build up my resistance to these things. The injections really work! I recommend them for severe sufferers!

Why has my nose been runny for a month?

== == == == Typically a cold or flu will be gone in 7 to 10 days, so if it has been runny for a month, there could be some other problem involved such as an allergy, irritation (e.g., from pollution or pollen), or even a sinus infection.

If you don't have a fever and if the drainage is clear, there are some over the counter remedies you might try, such as antihistamines, which may work to relieve the symptoms if the problem is allergies. If you know that there is a lot of pollen dust or other particles in the air, irritation by those could be causing the runny nose and then you might try a nasal saline spray. This just works to clear the sinuses and nose of those particles. The spray bottles are convenient, it feels soothing on your nasal tissues and is easy to use just following the label directions.

Another way to clear your nose and sinuses is with the use of a Neti Pot. These act in the same way as a saline nasal spray but allow an irrigation with more liquids (and some come with packets of medication to mix in the water). Anyone that I have known who has used one says they wish they had known about them sooner.

But if you have an infection, you should seek medical advice and treatment. Indications of infection include fever, thickened and yellow nasal drainage, sinus discomfort, and persistent or severe headaches. If I had an infection, or symptoms that didn't improve with the use of the over the counter remedies for several days, then I would go to my doctor to get advice from him. There are some very affective prescription medications a medical professional can prescribe.

Can acrylic dentures cause an allergic reaction that resembles chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia?

Yes! After 3 yrs. of Gabapentin and percocet someone mentioned this to me and I believe it may be a cause. I reseached "Allergy to dentures" and saw others who had asked Doctors this same question to no avail. Were out here wanting to die rather than endure more of this unexplained pain and yet no one will listen to us or say anything other than chronic pain, hand us pills, and dismiss us. I was diagnosed with an allergy to chemicals but the allergist aren't even testing for the ingredients in dentures. I noticed from the other people's questions that they are only being tested for simple things like pollens and pets. I two have had this issue. Are all Allergist in it for the payment and not interested in want you may really be allergic to? They only seem to give you general test. Do the others cost more? I have tried to illiminate the toxins and products but even eating out or going to the store can subject me and therefore swelling and pain. Even hugging someone and forgetting that they are wearing all kinds of products. What ever causes this horrible pain, fogged thinking, and tiredness has got to be found out. I am just starting the trials with my dentures but from what I have read I definitely believe this too is a factor. I do know that having carpet in your home or touching a material and not washing it off will cause reaction so it is not a stretch to believe somthing in dentures may be affecting your system. Is Dramamine more effective if you take the first dose 24 hours before departure then take the suggested dose one half hour before departure?

In my personal experience with Dramamine it takes an hour for me to feel its total effects. However if you don't take Dramamine that often, then if you take it a half hour before departure you should feel it while departing. I'd like to also add that taking dramamine 24 hours before your departure will do nothing. The effects will have been long gone. It wont be more effective just take it a half hour to an hour before your departure.
