I play at Digiturf.com. Are there any other horse racing games where I can win money?

Digiturf.com is not really a game to me. In fact, it's indexed as gambling according to Google and DMOZ.org. The problem with Digiturf is that even though people have won a lot of money, it can get very expensive to play. In fact, I have seen some people spend tens of thousands of dollars. You might want to save your money and try horseracegame.com. They have tournaments where you can win prizes and a lot of those tournaments are actually free. The game has great graphics and a very large interactive community, as well. Another interesting game that follows the path of the Breeders Cup is breederscupgame.com. I think one of these two games will make it to your favorite horse racing games list.

I disagree with the answer above-

a: because it looks like they're marketing their own games.

b: anyone who has played Digiturf.com would know it is the most realistic horse game around. And I say played deliberately- because it is a game. It's not like you're gambling in a casino.

I joined them through ESPN - coz ESPN is very credible about sporting / gaming sites and I've never looked back. Sure it costs money to win- but you're winning your own money back from other players. (When you beat the other players- which I'm not!)

And they have their free games and unlimited access to their 3D viewer (not like horseracegame.com and breederscupgame.com mentioned above where you have to pay).

And I'm not rich that I can run in the championships but I get my fair entertainment in the cheaper races which is cheaper than a burger! Don't knock it till you tried it.

Why bookies win in horse racing?

A length used in Horse Racing is the length of 1 horse. How much of Horse Race Track betting is luck?

Not much, people who do it for a profession look at the bloodlines, who they are up against, how much they have trained, how many times they have raced and what places they took, what kind of horse they are, and occasionally who is riding them. There isn't much luck in it, sometimes the winners are having luck, but the betting for those who really care, isn't luck, they probably have process that they go through to decide who they think the winner will be.

How many number 1s have won at horse racing this month?

If two frogs bet 300 dollars on dog racing how much do they win?

Why would frogs have money?!

This depends on which dog wins, if both frogs pick the wrong dog, they wouldn't win anything.

It also depends on the odds of the dog that wins, and whether or not the frogs are allowed to bet in the first place.

If neither of their dogs win, I bet they would be hopping mad.

Horse racing do they hit the horse?

The jockey will sometimes carry what is called a "bat" which is about 2 feet long with a flat leather end. They will use this to smack the horse on the flank (just behind the jockey's leg) to encourage him to run a bit faster. This is not considered abusive at all because the end of the bat is wide and flat and more than anything else makes a slapping sound on the horse's side which excites him. This is usually only used towards the end of a race if there is going to be a close finish.

Is a horse race purse size determined by the amount of betting on the race?

no the purse is determinded on the race when you bet you get some money fromo the purse if the horse u bet on wins

Actually, the Purse has nothing to do with the amount of money wagered in a horse race. The Handle is the total amount wagered on that race and after the track takes some out and the taxes are removed then the rest is divied up among the winning tickets. These are called Pools and there is one for each style/type of bet (Win Pool, Place Pool, Show Pool, Exacta Pool, Trifecta Pool, Pick 3 Pool, etc).
