How long does nausea last when starting Lexapro?
I consulted the Physician's Desk Reference to find my answer. I found no results for "brentellex," but I did find results for the drug "brintellix." If this is not the right drug, then please disregard my answer. According to the side effects section of the article, it states that "Nausea was the most common adverse reaction and its frequency was dose-related (Table 2). It was usually considered mild or moderate in intensity and the median duration was 2 weeks. Nausea was more common in females than males. Nausea most commonly occurred in the first week of BRINTELLIX treatment with 15 to 20% of patients experiencing nausea after 1 to 2 days of treatment. Approximately 10% of patients taking BRINTELLIX 10 mg/day to 20 mg/day had nausea at the end of the 6 to 8 week placebo-controlled studies." If you search for "brintellix" on this site, you will find this section located under section 6.1: "Adverse side effects" on the page's table of contents. This information is not to be taken in replacement of consulting your doctor. I would recommend talking to your doctor for further answers.

What happens if i suddenly quit taking Cymbalta?
I took the last 60mg Cymbalta in the bottle on Tuesday night and didn't have the money for a refill til Friday. This is NOT a pleasant detox. I can only describe them as BRAIN ZINGS, no way to really say how it feels, but it seems electrical somehow and is quite unpleasant. Not because it is terribly painful, but just terribly terribly weird and uncomfortable. They started on Thursday morning, and by 2am Friday waiting for the store to open I was FREAKING. Now I was having a terrible anxiety problem and had a headache to boot along with the crazy zingers in my brain. My husband got it filled Friday morning and within an hour or so it was so much better. I was fine by the end of the day.
Does snorting Cymbalta get you high?
No, it will not get you high. It will hurt your nose alot aswell.
Can you feel Prozac after 1 day?
Prozac, a trade name for fluoxetine is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) antidepressant. Its benefits, among many is that it affects chemicals in the brain which may become unbalanced and cause depression, panic, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive symptoms.
Also, Prozac is used to treat major depressive disorders such as bulimia nervosa- an eating disorder, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), panic disorders, and PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder).
Whilst its usage typically manifests itself after about a fortnight, (two weeks), there are side-affects which can include nervousness, loss of sleep, slight anxiety, and very rarely nausea. Generally, after a brief period of endurance, these side-affects dissipate after a brief period of usage. As for Prozac assisting with matters of diet, (what it was originally created for), or anxieties, it is highly doubtful that one might feel any change in these conditions within 24 hours. Mostly, the initial side-effect is feeling somewhat jittery or anxious. It may be that the doses you are taking are too high initially.
Additionally, it is advisable to check your blood pressure. If you are obese, or facing other challenges which affect blood pressure, it may be best to consider changing to a similar SSRI such as Citalopram.
Does Effexor XR help with tiredness and fatique?
ADDITION:
I have been on Effexor XR for 6 months. (150 mg/day - Effexor XR) I have had significant improvement in my depressive symptoms... but I also have no energy... I spend most of the day just longing for a nap... and the lack of energy and sleepiness make me get next to nothing done. Additionally... when I was tired at the end of the day and actually could lay down to sleep... my mind would race horribly and I could not get to sleep... further compounding the problem. My doctor increased my dosage in the hopes that it would remove some of the tiredness (225 mg/day) thinking I was having some residual depressive symptoms... and the sleepiness was unbearable... I felt like I was passing out all day... I have researched this and it seems to be a fairly common problem for those on Effexor... the saytime lethargy and weakness... the insomnia at nighttime...
I am currently trying to come off of the Effexor so that I can get my life back... I plan to go on something else to help with my depressive symptoms. If you do go on Effexor... be cautious... as the withdrawal when you come off is very uncomfortable... (pins and needles feeling in the extremities and face... nausea... spot headaches... mania... etc)... Just use caution and weigh the benefits against the many many many side effects...

Average withdrawal time from Lexapro?
Not sure on the exact amount of time it takes to withdraw from Lexapro, but it sounds like it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months or more depending on how your body responds to the withdrawal.
My own experience to date is as follows: After taking first 10 mg of Lexapro for 1 1/2 years, my dosage was increased to 20 mg. Now that I have been on the new dosage for almost 1 1/2 years, I have decided it is time to see if I can cope without taking Lexapro any more. I began weaning myself off with the advice of my doctor. I began by decreasing my dosage from 20 mg to 10 mg daily. After 10 days, I stopped taking lexapro all together (under by Dr.'s advice) and the result was many withdrawal symptoms such as: headache, burning stomach pain, dizziness, fatigue and acid reflux. The headache doesn't respond to Tylenol or advil and sleep is the only way to improve the headache, which isn't possible during the work day. The dizziness is the most irritating symptom and the one that concerns me the most since I have been known to faint when I get dizzy. After doing research on the web, I discovered that taking a multi-vitamin may help with the withdrawal symptoms. I am not sure if it will work or not, but it is worth a try. Also, I have read that sometimes you have to wean yourself more slowly and for a longer period of time. I have a call to my dr. to see if I need to start taking smaller doses of lexapro before weaning myself all together.

Is it safe to take Prozac with Strattera?
Neither Prozac nor Strattera are uppers or downers. Prozac works on serotonin, and Strattera works on norepinephrine, two of our brain cocktails. Both drugs level out their respective neurotransmitters; nothing is added or removed, just made to work more efficiently. Prozac may inhibit some of the activity by Strattera; as for being safe, however, this is for a doctor to decide and monitor. Each case is different.
