What is the best anchor point for drawing a bow?

First of all, remember to always anchor in the same spot and also make sure your bow is a fit to your frame! I am an avid archer with thirty years of experience. The first thing I tell students is to make sure your draw length is set to you. When you draw your trigger finger, your knuckle should be straight below your shooting eye, which should put the string right in the corner of your mouth. That is a perfect fit. If your knuckle is under your ear, it's too long, and you have no permanent anchor point. If your knuckle is at the corner of your mouth, it's too long. Your local archery shop can fix you right up and set your draw length to you! Trigger finger under your eye is perfect. I hope this helps, and happy shooting! Remember to take a child hunting and protect our rights to enjoy the outdoors.

What were 2 kinds of bow used in Europe before A.D. 1400?

We can do much better than just two. The 'pyramid' style bow has been suggested as dating back many thousands of years. The English longbow is a general single wood (aka self bow) that has also been around for at least a thousand years as depictions on the Bayeux Tapestry as well as several other sources demonstrate. The Mongolian and Scythian style recurve bows have also been around for very long times, especially bearing in mind that the Scythians themselves were an ancient steppe plains tribe.

Would the reduction in accuracy be insurmountable if you attached a string to an arrow for easy retrieval and fired it?

The only time I have heard of archers using a line atttached to their arrows was for fishing. The range is short and the archer stays dry.

Are there any real life uses of archery?

Yes. If you get stranded in a jungle and you happen to have brought a bow and several arrows (which you would have to retrieve after each shot as to not lose them), you would be able to hunt your food. Keep in mind you will need to turn the bow around and use the string to make fire so you can cook your food. Assuming you have a good enough aim to actually hit something from far enough away for it to not hear you and stay still.

What is the age and value of a 60 inch 30 lb Shakespeare Wonderbow recurve model X24?

Shakespeare stopped making bows in the early 1980s, so it's at least 25+ years old. It is probably not worth much, since fiberlgass bows age poorly and they are not rare..

Is the word sin an archer's term?

Yes it is, it means whenever you didn't hit gold (the yellow rings in the centre) during archery practice or during a competition.

The church's version of "sin" comes from the idea of a sin being an imperfection, a flaw, that can be improved on, and any Englishman during the entire medieval period could relate to this idea.

(NOTE: I am a real archer and am an expert on the topic)
