Artemis Fowl isn't described as hot in the books, and I don't find him hot either.
However, I do find him insanely, incredibly, super, amazingly adorable.

But, for some reason, no matter how good looking or chisled he is, I just can't imagine him as hot. Not meaning looks, but the word hot. Firstly, Artemis wouldn't approve. It's a slang term! "Not proper English.", he'd be so kind to point out. Also though, think of the word hot. Could you imagine Artemis being hot? I would say really good looking. I know, it's just a synonym, but I think really good lookingfits Artemis better.

yes because wikipedia is always right. It also mentions in Artimis fowl the time paradox that artimis fowl is able to aquire maic because he is of magical desent. normal humans cannot use magic.
Wikipedia is not always right. People can post whatever they want on it, though someone usually spots the lie and takes it down. I'm always sure to post the truth if I edit something, but some people are just mean. There is no mention of Artemis being "half-fairy" or a "sage" in books 1-6, the ones currently released. Mr. Colfer has said nothing about this, either. He has said that there will be a connection between Holly and Artemis's birth to be revealed in 7th books, however. Holy Frond, please oh PLEASE don't let them be related!
