As the screenplay is not even written yet you are obviously thinking ahead. Unless you speak with a British accent you would not get a part in a HP film as the school is a British school. There is no point in paying for children from other countries to come to Britain as extras as there are many British children who can play the parts. The lead parts will go to the same people who have played them all along, unless they decide they have had enough.

Yes correct this is a scam...it is not a audition so to speak but a way of selling acting lessons and they range from €2000 up to €8000. I went along and I also did not know who was running it, but it is very hard to Google "The" but they have also been know as ACT (Acadmey for Cinema and Television) and if you Google them you will find lots of information. You can also find links to Atlanta news clips reporting on them!!

They get the child to audition with a commerical and then they give you a card with a number to ring the next day to see if your child has been "accepted" on that call you must commit to the class they have decided to put your child in and pay in full the fee. They are running the convention in Orlando Apr 11th to 18th which you must pay to attend (Flights / Hotel) and the drop lots of key words like Disney channel programs / hanna Montana Nick channel etc... They say there will be agents there and you can receive call backs etc...In the news clips they say that these agents etc are paid to attend...very well run scam...it is disgraceful to use childrens dreams like this to profit. There is a lot written about "Lily" a member of the team who was also at the Conrad ex model and her past crimial history. She made a speech, she came across as very unprofessional and talked extremely fast...although I did catch the "we are not here to waste your time or ours and you must be committed to your child and the course that we sign them up to "should" they be accepted as we only accept about 5 to 10% of everyone we see...yet in the states under cover reports who attended talked to mothers and fathers afterwards and all where accepted.

Needless to say we didnt bother to call the number the next day!

Tools and A Few Tips:

Focus on what you want to do.

Make sure you know the right people: TV channels, movie studios, ballet or theatre companies, modeling agencies, managers, actors, models, theatres, arts schools etc. Make yourself visible. Call them, write to them, visit them, always by appointment.

Have your address-book always handy. PC, phone, answering-machine and fax essential. Also a cellular, and 2 better than one. Business cards.

A little office desirable. (You can share one with somebody else when you start)

Dress nicely and watch your manners.

Speak properly.

Make sure your car is spotlessly clean and safe to drive.

Never forget to smile.

Get in touch with a good photographer or two you can trust.

Make-up artists and hair-stylists are good to know too.

Contact local newspapers and free press where you live and in towns nearby.

Contact different advertising businesses and plan a strategy.

Build a web site.

Be prepared to work hard. It will take a while before you find someone and make a star of them.

Do not allow glamour to fool you.

Be decent.

Bear in mind that you will be meeting lots of people (some may be famous, others may soon be) and you will often have to take them out for coffee or a drink or a meal and the bill will be on you at least 50% of the time.
