Absolutely, your neck has many muscles, if you stabilising muscles are atrophised or dormant your main neck musckes take over, this causes bad posture and tension, dizziness, headaches and fatigue. lean your head forward. If it feels heavy you need significant work. only you can fix the imbalance. It is a delicate area only use safe techniques. seek neck exercise, or neck physiotherapy from a physio or doctor. Yes... Lymph glands don't just "swell" from filtering an infection out of the lymphatic system, they actually grow more cells and in-turn become larger in order to better combat the infection "poison"... They usually (slowly) go down in 2-3 months following the initial growth period. Turning the neck just puts "traction" on the swollen node, thereby stretching the pain fibers in the tissue of the node & surrounding tissue, causing the pain. Don't be surprised that the swollen node doesn't go away completely aftter everything has settled down... Often they'll be firm (scarring) and be palpable (able to be felt) for many years afterward... often lifetime.. Just make sure it doesn't keep getting bigger & bigger, and that you don't notice other swollen lymph nodes elsewhere!1 This can be something serious. See your doctor/PA if you notice this... ASAP!!

Yes, indeed you can. It may be helpful if you alternate it with heat. Many women find a warm bath comforting, and you can add something like Radox bath salts which contains magnesium sulphate to relieve the pain too.

It can also help if you lie down on the floor and put your legs up against a wall. Don't try this when you are too heavy though as you may not be able to get back up again.

If you plan to use a TENS machine as pain relief when you are in labour, you could get one now and use it on your back.

Swimming is another thing that may help.

I advise against taking medication until you have talked to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist, but there is no reason to put yourself through unnecessary suffering.

I do think, that the main reason is severe pain caused by herniated disc. If any ideas, please, share here.

I had surgery to remove a quarter-sized pilonidal cyst removed and the procedure itself didn't hurt at all but yes it definitely hurt afterward. I was surprised to see the large black hole that was left in my back. Seeing the hole was very scary and I wasn't really prepared for it. If you have a pilonidal cyst removed then don't plan on doing anything for days afterward. It will hurt to move at all, you can't even lay on your back and bathing hurts, too, but it is absolutely necessary.

It sounds like you have lower disc problems, but since I'm not a doctor please see one to confirm this. They will do an x-ray on you and possibly send you to physio for treatment or you could try acupuncture (sometimes works) and your doctor may put you on muscle relaxants to ease any pain.
