Are Teeter Inversion Tables good for helping with back pain?

Teeter inversion tables are great for a number of things including back pain! The teeter reduces a lot of pressure in areas like your discs and on your nerves. It helps rehydrate injured discs by taking pressure off the discs. The teeter also helps loosen tense muscles, and then by doing so also helps realign the spine.

How do you avoid back pain when house cleaning?

Try doing some stretching exercises of your back and legs before you begin - they are easily found online. If you have the time, a short walk around the block may also do the trick.

I suggest taking some ibuprofen before you begin. You can go online and look up exercises that help to strengthen your back as well. They are simple and really work.

For me yes. Usually the day after I put my new patch (happens to be today) on after my period I have to run to the bathroom to throw up 3 or 4 times. My head explodes and my back is killing me. But with the pill I feel sick everyday... Also, I have been using the patch for about 3 years very happily and all of this just started a few months ago.

Do all cervical discectomies require a fusion as well?

Cervical discectomies are done for cervical spine arthritis called as spondylosis.

They are also done for compression of the spinal cord or a nerve root.

If the discectomy is done from the front of the cervical spine, fusion is generally done. if the patient is young and disease is at single level, cervical disc replacement can also be done to avoid fusion and preserve motion, but studies say the outcomes are the same with both the procedures.

If the nerve root compression is the only problem then the nerve root decompression can also be done by what is called as cervical formainotomy where the spine is approached from the back. If this procedure is done fusion is not necessary.

Cyst at base of neck chronic mid back pain numb arm and tingling fingers Are these all connected Whats wrong with you?

A cyst on the neck is caused by a plugged sebaceous (oil) gland...

Mid-back pain is rarely the cause of tingling fingers.

Numb arm & tingling fingers are most likely related. The cause? Anything from a pinched nerve in the neck to a spasming muscle (on the same side as the arm/fingers tingling) in the upper back near the spine.

You need an exam and proper xrays... See an orthopaedic physician.

I disagree with this guy! I searched these exact symptoms and found this post. I have the symptoms that you describe, and when I empty the cyst the symptoms stop. The contents of this cyst smell funkier than anything I have ever experienced. I have to think that this cyst, or the crap that it contains, impinges on a nerve and causes the other symptoms.

I am currently prescribed Lortab 10 for lower back pain I was wondering the rating of the different hydrocodone medications Examples such as vicodin lortab loracet and etcetera from weak to strong?

Vicodin is probably the strongest. ------------------------------------------ Vicodin is not the strongest of the medications you asked about. Lortab, Vicodin, and Lortab are all brand names (made by different pharmaceutical companies) that contain hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen. They are all available in the same dosage as the Lortab 10 mg, precribed for you. The drug (Lortab 10) prescribed for you contains 10 mg of hydrocodone. Any other hydrocodone/APA (acetaminophen = Tylenol) drug that contains 10 mg of hydrocodone is identical in strength, as far as hydrocodone is concerned. Norco is a brand name for a hydrocodone drug, and the only one I'm aware of that contains less acetaminophen (APAP) than the otherse. If it turns out your back pain ends up to be a chronic problem, a lower dosage of APAP will be important, in regard to saving you from liver damage. Hydrocodone does not obliterate intolerable chronic pain. If you're lucky, it will take the edge off. If this is the boat you find yourself in, ask you doctor to prescribe Norco (or its generic equivalent) which contains the same amount of hydrocodone, with less (liver damaging) APAP. All pharmaceutical companies that manufacture pain meds containing hydrocodone make them in different doses. So, regardless of the brand name, a drug containing hydrocodone can contain either 2.5 mg, or 5 mg, or 7.5 mg, or 10 mg of hydrocodone. Check out rxlist.com, where you can search for a drug by name (hydrocodone) and it will show you all the brand names of drugs containing hydrocodone, along with the doses available, and the amount of APAP included.
