When do you start experiencing back pain during pregnancy?
I think it varies for everyone. I know with my first pregnancy I had a lot of lower back and sciatica in my first trimester. It started around week 9. Then it went away for a few months and was back at the end. Just be careful because if it is very early and is cramp like it can sometimes be an indicator of miscarrying. I have also experienced this.
You would USUALLY have cramps with bleeding. But it is not always the case. If you are bleeding heavily, consult a doctor straight away. They may be able to save the pregnancy.
What could cause mid back pain on left side when you turn a certain way?
There are many things that could cause pain. The first thing to do is to determine what the source of the pain is--is it osteopathic, is it circulatory, is it neural, is it muscular, or is it epidermal? If the pain is osteopathic, it could be caused by stress fractures in the vertebrae, something that needs immediate medical attention. If it is circulatory, you may have a circulatory problem, which needs medical attention, or you may have a bruise. If it is neural, it may simply be a pinched nerve. If it is muscular, it could be a strain or a pull, in which case, simply because of its location it may be prudent to have it examined by a practitioner. If it is epidermal, it should be very obvious what is causing the pain, as there would be a noticeable rash or abrasion. The most likely cause is either bad posture, as a result from non-ergonomic chairs or a bed that is not soft enough, or it could be stress-induced. In any scenario, the best you can do for it if it is nothing to worry about (that is, if it is not anything that resembles the problems I described above) is to simply have a good night's sleep, possibly on a softer mattress, and try to relax more.
Is it normal to have bleeding with lower back pain like period pain very early in pregnancy?
This isn't normal but it is reasonably common. Many women experience bleeding in the early part of pregnancy. Often it will settle and the pregnancy proceeds as normal. However, the cramps are not a particularly great sign. The combination can mean you will or are having a miscarriage. See your doctor so they can perform further tests to see if this actually is the case.
Is pain in lower stomach an early sign of pregnancy?

How can I relieve lower back pain?
There are a lot of different ways to relieve the pain, it just depends on how bad it is,
and how much it's affecting your life. For me, it was a Quality of Life decision in how my pain has been treated over the years.
I found out prior to my 3rd spinal operation just over 2 years ago that my first 2 were botched, and was the reason for my extreme chronic pain. As it turned out, 2 of the 8 screws in my lower spine were inserted too far through the bone and into leg nerves in the lower back - one for each leg. The surgeon told me that when they did a nerve conduction test to be sure my leg reacted so violently the surgical team jumped out of the way. I have another screw in a disk in my neck that still needs to be removed also.
Since the screws have been removed from the nerves, I have noticed a drop in the pain, but realistically I know that they were there for 8 years, and that isn't going to heal anytime soon. You can read my Supervisor Bio to find out more about what I've been through, but I've been on the strongest opiates for the past 11 years now, and that's the only thing that has helped with the pain. I've been able to reduce my dosages some since the screws were removed, but as I said it will take time heal, assuming that they ever fully will heal.
Pain Management and Opiate Therapy is a Quality of Life decision. For me, I had really no choice - I'd be either dead or in a nuthouse if it weren't for opiates a long time ago. It's more inconvenient than anything else, and I've learned to live with that. In the end, you have to decide just how bad the pain is, how much it is affecting your life, and what you're willing to do to deal with it. There's a lot more than just the pain with anyone having chronic pain from any source - Depression, family problems because they don't understand, "friends" who find other things to do besides being a friend anymore (Pain definitely shows you who your real friends are), not wanting to do anything, etc. Sound Familiar?
If the pain isn't that bad, there are several OTC meds I use when I don't feel like taking a Percocet or three (I use about 120-150 Percocet 10/325's per month, and have for the past 8 years). All work well in their own way:
1. Bayer Back and Body Aspirin - I get a lot of Tylenol with Percocet, so I'll use aspirin first. This stuff works fast and is great for any pain, nerve or otherwise.
2. Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gel-Tabs - I'll use these sometimes with Percocet, and sometimes without. They work within 20 minutes and are extremely
effective.
3. Aleve - Aleve is Naproxen in non-presciption dosages. Prescription is 500mg, they come in 220mg, so I use 2 1/2 tablets to get prescription strength. Naproxen is great for reducing inflammation, and lasts longer than the other two and you don't need as much. It's only drawback is that you need to get enough in your system to be effective, and takes a day or so.
If you've got specific questions about different therapies and want to expand on the problem, feel free to either post on my Message Board or send me an email to my WA address, posted at the top of my Bio. I've also added a link to the American Pain Foundation and a couple of other sites that might help.

Can the flu cause neck pain and dizziness?
From personal experience, when sick with a cold or flu, I'm most of the time laying down. When I first stand up I mayexperience dizziness. And then it calms down, but other times it doesn't- generally I would not want to stand up for too long when sick.
I would say dizziness lasts as long as you are in the build up or peak of your flu, once you start feeling better it should go away.

Yes, I have been on oxycodone for approx 8 yrs and taking antidepressants also for the entire time. It may take some time to find the right one and correct dosage for you but it definitely is available. Explain to your doctor what is going on and they can get you started on them. It can be many things...if it is in the morning, I would suggest testing your bed. Try sleeping in another bed for two nights and see if the stiffness continues. If not, you'll know it is your mattress. Buy a new one, and ask the salesperson what mattress is good for sore backs. It can be a certain muscle you've strained. If the irritaion persists, make an appointment with your doctor. They can check and see what's going on below the surface. Meanwhile, be gentle with it. Don't bend and lift too much, and be careful when working out, or doing outdoor activities. Purchase a few heating pads for your back such as IcyHOt patches.
