Definitely! Weight lifters are focused on the amount of weight they can lift... They would rather do 200 pounds for 2 sets of 10 where as dancers would rather do 20 for 3 sets of 25. I know it doesn't seem like that much of a difference but have you noticed how dancers look long and lean while weight lifters look like swollen bubbles? its because dancers do lighter weights for more reps to get strong but lean muscles.

no, not at all. ballet is very graceful and it flows, it also does not have very many injuries. while cheerleading is very sharp and is hard on your body. i was a ballet dancer then i quit and did cheer, that is when i injured my back.

There are many types of dance shoes, designed for a specific sort of dance. Tap shoes have metal plates on the bottom in order to make the signature tapping sound that tap dancing makes. Watch some contempory dances on Youtube, and copy the way the dancer holds themselves, watch their armlines aswell and how their feet are turned out.
