Baptists believe that Jesus, God's son, came to earth as a baby, died for us on the cross, and rose again the third day, He is heaven right now. Romans 14:9 "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living."

Baptists believe in Baptism by full emersion. But, baptism does not save, baptism is simply a symbol of the death, buriel, and resurection. It is one of few symbols Baptists perticipate in, commuinion being the other. 1 Corinthians 11:28-29 "But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

Baptist men do not have long hair and women do not have butch heads. 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

Baptists do not go to the beach, or wear bathing suits for that matter. Baptist believe modesty is being covered from shoulders to knees. Baptists do not play poker, do the lotery, gamble in any way. Baptists do not go to the movies, dance, etc. Baptists do not do Barney, Sponge Bob, Scooby-Doo, Elmo, etc. Baptists do have tattoos, earings, excessive jewelry, etc.

Baptists believe in going to church when ever the doors are open, (most churches have Sunday school, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, mid-week services.) Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of soem is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching"

Baptists do not believe in women preachers. Baptists do not smoke, drink, chew tobacco, etc. Baptists do not go anywhere where there testimony could be questioned. (resaurants that serve liquor, work at a place you sell cigarettes, alcohol, dirty magazines, etc.)

Baptists believe in living for Jesus everyday, not just on Sunday, we were put on earth to win souls to Christ, not have fun. Hebrews 11:25 "Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season." KJV

Baptists believe in door-to-door soulwinning for men, nursing home for women, passing out tracks, etc.

Baptist believe the only way to escape an eternity in Hell is to pray to God to cleanse your heart, take away your sin, and make you a new person. Then, you may enter into the kingdom of God. I don't understand this question; Southern Baptists and Catholics are different denominations.

They believe once saved always saved and you cannot lose your salvation once you are born again by the Holy Spirit. This is based on the scriptures. See John 10:27 through verse 30.

A man does not need a license from the state in order to preach the gospel in the state of Georgia. However, the church may issue the man a license, as their stamp of approval on his preaching abilities.

At What Age would a Women become Mother of a Baptist Church and would she be Ordained in that position

There is no specific age for a Church Mother, however she should be a SEASONED SAINTLY Woman. She should be full of the Holy Ghost, faithful in the Ministry, trusted and appointed by the Pastor that she can be trusted in upholding the Vision of the church while performing her duties. Mothers of the church are not necessarily ordained but rather consecrated and or installed.

This is an unofficial answer and should probably be confirmed by more official sources. I am an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and this is the "oral tradition" that I have heard on more than one occasion. My understanding is that Mr. Graham was a Presbyterian in his youth. When he felt God's call to become an evangelist, the Presbyterians (proably in the form of a regional governing body called a presbytery) would not ordain him to such a ministry, though I have never heard the reasons why. It might have ben related to seminary education, but that is speculation. Having been rejected by the Presbyterians, he was welcomed by the Baptists with open arms. As a side note related to his Presbyterian connection, Mr. Graham's brother-in-law Clayton Bell (Ruth Graham's brother) was the pastor of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas for many years. Nothing prevents it as long as you meet membership requirements for the Presbyterian church. Your Southern Baptist friends may not be pleased, but it is your choice.

The main differences between tradition church and a evangielical church is that the tradition church are happy with the same congregation, the other churches go and invite people to their services.

Liberal Presbyterian/Presbyterian/Baptist/Conservative Baptist

There is a segment of the Presbyterian Church the Presbyterian Church USA that has Agreements of Communion Complete with church denominations that condone homosexual ministers -

The denomination within the Baptists, "Conservative Baptist," is a section that came out of the "Southern Baptist Conference," due to some of the Southern Baptist missionaries not believing in the "Virgin Birth."

Of course, a main difference between the Presbyterians and Baptist is that Presbyterians believe in "Infant Baptism." Both believe in Eternal Security, (OSAS). The ideas of the Presbyterians are more hyper-Calvinist, (hyper-Charles Finney also called it hyper - knowing that this TULIP ideas began 50 years after Calvin's death). They tend to have a stronger stance on OSAS than Baptist, and also are into Predestination that Baptist generally don't agree with them about. So, the logic of the Presbyterian Church USA is the Holy Spirit/Salvation comes in at "Infant Baptism" + OSAS = The person is saved no matter what sins they commit afterwards.

Look at the individual Church that you are visiting, and if they have the wording "Inerrancy," "Inerrant," or "Infallibility" in their Statement of Beliefs you will be on the right track.
