What are the symptoms of a defective car battery?

When you first turn the key to start your car, if you notice a momentary, split-second lull or "bog-down" before everything starts normally, your battery might be ready to go out on you. I'm no expert, but this is what I have observed three times in my life, right before the battery died completely. Gerry Gunn, Los Angeles

Is 4800mAh is equivalent to 56 Wh?

Only if the battery is rated at 11.66V.

What would dodge durango keep going dead and have too high of a voltage when put on a tester replaced the battery still drawing to high of voltage and battery dead?

With the engine running you should read 13.5 to 15.5 Volts DC at the battery posts. A reading much higher than this indicates the voltage regulator in the alternator is defective.

Can a battery charge a battery?

Sure, as long as the voltage of the charging battery is higher than the voltage of the battery to be charged. Be warned though, if batteries are too dissimilar they can be damaged.
Off course they can! I have a small airplane a 'Classic AS 800', that charges the airplanes lithium-cell from the AA-powered remote control. Just as an example. But actually that charge is not without losses. <><><>

Does battery life increase by letting your new cell phone battery run out before the first full charge?

Modern (Lithium ion and Metal Nickel Hydride) cell phone batteries have no "memory" problems like those that plagued Nickel Cadmium accumulators so you do not have to let the battery discharge fully before recharging them. However some modern battery chemistry does improve during the first few charge cycles so the full usefull duration is attained only after some (say 5) charge/uncharge cycles.

How do you connect a battery on a tractor?

1. Locate the tractor battery cables.

2. Follow each cable to where it connects to the tractor. One cable will be connected/attached to the tractor chassis/frame. The other cable will be connected/attached to the tractor starter motor. If you don't find this to be true, then discontinue this procedure now.

3. Connect the unconnected end of the cable that is connected to the starter motor to the "+" or "pos" battery post.

4. Connect the unconnected end of the other cable that is connected to the tractor chassis/frame to the "-" or "neg" battery post.

5. Snugly tighten the post connector nuts to ensure a firm/stable electrical connection.

Done. Your battery is now connected to your tractor properly.

Why does battery drain while driving?

Answer 1To the best of my knowledge, the only reason a battery discharges while driving the vehicle is that charging current is not getting to the battery.

There could be many reasons for this, and although I can't recall all of them, here are some possibilities.

The alternator, or generator if so equipped, is defective and not generating any charging current, or not enough.

Even if the alternator/generator is good and working, it is possible that the current does not get to the battery.

The drive belt is either slipping or missing altogether.

The wiring system has a defect which prevents current from a functioning alternator from getting to the battery.

IF the vehicle charging system has a separate voltage regulator, it could be defective.

Another possibility is that the battery is defective and will not accept a charge.

These are some of the most common causes which come to mind. Maybe others can improve this answer with other causes for the problem.

How do you remove battery cover for lg cosmos touch?

My friend has this phone and it took her at least 15 min to open it. All she did was push/slide it as hard as possible in the direction of the arrow on the back. That's all I know.

In the instructions it shows you the incorrect way to push the cover. Above the camera view window is a little arrow, Hold the phone with the back vertical to you and slide the cover down. If you are holding the phone horizontally then you are holding it incorrectly. A thanks to my 16 year old son for helping out!!
