Can you run your range rover on bio diesel?
yes you can . i run a1996 p38 on it for the last 2 months and covered 2500 miles with no problems .if your RR gets sluggish change the fuel filter .i now use 100 percent bio now.
And maybe the person who posted this answer will come back and tell you how much they spent on repairs when they found out the hard way that biodiesel will clog your injectors and fuel lines, and destroy your fuel pump. There is a method to properly convert a ULSD motor to biodiesel... you have to replace the fuel pump, fuel lines, and injectors. Biodiesel is much thicker than ULSD.
How can corn be turned into biofuel?
The corn can be mashed, mixed with water, and heated until it ferments, and ethanol (grain alcohol) can be distilled from it.
How is biofuel stored for later use?
That would depend on the type of biofuel. Wood is a biofuel, and it can be stored as logs, pellets, or chips, in huge stacks or mounds. (methane)Gas can also be a biofuel, which is stored in some sort of pressurized vessel. Vegetable oils and fats can also be biofuels, and they're stored in tanks.
What is D1 and D2 winter blend mix for biodiesel fuel?
Winter blend mix like a cocktail: Biodiesel is thought of as the 'alcohol'. X is a percentage of biodiesel, to give B(x). For example, B20 is 20% biodiesel, the other 80% is ULSD or kerosene, usually. B99 is practically straight biodiesel. Not so good for winter weather as waxes form 'clouds' in the fuel if it's greater than B50 (half biodiesel) D1 is road use approved kerosene (K1 clear). D2 is ULSD, or ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. Kerosene is a more refined D2, so it is referred to as D1.
Are there hidden environmental and social cost with biomass?
Yes. Much of the plant material used for biomass, or for producing biofuel, is food. This is putting up the price of staple foods like corn.
The land used to grow it is also no longer available for food production.
Ethanol is one of the more common biofuels used in the US, and most of those production facilities are located in the Midwest. Biodiesel, which is made with soybean oil, is also a growing biofuel, also produced primarily in the Midwest.
Some homes, greenhouses, and other buildings are heated with wood pellets or various cereal grains, and those fuels come from wherever those crops are grown.
Well will blaklee doesn't exist or not that I know of. Liam Hemsworth played his part in the last song that's all. Nicholas Sparks made him up just like all authors mostly do for stories.
How can biofuel be used to create electricity?
Burn the biofuel to boil water. The high pressure steam turns copper wires in a static magnet, that is, turns a turbine which generates electricity.
Bio-fuel can be vegetation for burning (biomass), biogas (like methane), bio-diesel (like diesel but made from vegetation and algae).
While not as a chart, this is an idea about combustion energy values: Ethanol 77,000 Btu per gallon, Gasoline 125,000 Btu per gallon, Diesel 135,000 Btu per gallon and Biodiesel 130,000 Btu per gallon. Grades of fuel imply differences in composition and thus differences in combustion Btu values. Combustion values for ethanol will not depend on source of ethanol as long as ethanol content/composition is the same. Ali Hamza A_Hamza@yahoo.com

What processe is used for the production of Biodiesel?
Production of Bio diesel can b achieved from
plants
algae,algae oils,algae micro elements
vegetable oil,waste vegetable oil
cooking oil,waste cooking oil
animal fats and
jatropha plants.the modern method is of jatropha plant
Biofuel is renewable because the process that generates the fuel is ongoing. Trees can be regrown, sewage can be converted into methane, and oil and alcohol can be generated from various plants. Biofuel takes carbon dioxide from the air as the original vegetation grows, and returns it when burnt, so it has a neutral carbon footprint. It adds no greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.
Ethanol can be a biofuel if it is obtained from vegetable matter. It can also be produced by the hydrogenation of ethylene in a refinery or chemical plant.
Biofuel is any kind of vegetation that can be burnt to generate electricity. This can be the remains of crops like sugar cane (bagasse) after the sugar is removed. It can be the husks of coconuts. Often farmers are glad to get rid of this stuff and pleased that it is generating renewable energy.
Is biomass a non-renewable resource?
No!
Biomass is usually classed as a renewable source, but only if the vegetation it is burning is renewable!
Biomass fuel is really any kind of vegetation that is burnt to produce electricity. Ideally this is residue from other crops, like the remains of sugar cane (bagasse) after they crush out the sugar juice. All these crops can grow quickly, in one season, so they are renewable. We can always grow more.
How much does a plant sell biodiesel for?
Do you mean How much does a biodiesel plant cost?
and that is $1.57 per gallon
Where is biomass energy used now?
Biomass energy is widely used.
One state that uses biomass is Oregon.
Are food scraps turned into biogas or biofuel?
The Indian Appropriate Rural Technology Institute (ARTI) has developed a small biogas digester that uses food scraps such as starchy or sugary wastes as feedstock. This includes waste flour, vegetable residues, waste food, fruit peelings, rotten fruit, oil cake, rhizomes of banana, canna (a plant similar to a lily but rich in starch), and non-edible seeds. This simple but effective system providing a household with biogas for cooking and lighting can be seen here http://www.build-a-biogas-plant.com/ARTI-Biogas.html
How long does it take to renew biofuel?
one growing season for whatever plant or animal it was harvested from.
for corn, about 5 months
What are the immediate cost of biodiesel vs petroleum fuel?
well when you buy biodiesel it tends to be around $53... and petroleum fuel tends to be much less then that so if you are planning on drinking this then the cheaper one would have to be petroleum fuel :)
Is biofuel a renewable or non renewable source of energy?
It is a renewable resource.
It reduces the consumption of fossil fuels, and typically burns cleaner than pure petroleum products. Additionally, it is made from renewable resources.
However, biofuels also carry disadvantages which often don't outweigh the advantages they possess.
