The air conditioner kit comes only factory mounted on the vehicle (z3). If you want to adapt some aftermarket kit it will be difficult and costly too. Better buy a z3 with AC, because any mal function can be repaired.

The best places that I can think of to find the information you are looking for would be to either speak with a local dealer that exclusively sells the BMW z3 or any dealer that has these cars available for purchase. Also, you may find this information in various reviews made by others or by the company itself. An authorized dealer would be your best bet, as they have specific knowledge of these types of cars.

There are no "bulbs" in the digital clock assembly. There are only 4 numbers of LED lights. Firstly, use a very thin screw driver to pry the clock assembly from the console. Once removed, detach the electrical socket from the clock. Then open the clock by loosening the plastic snap-ons. remove the mini "IC board" and you will see a series of 4 LED lights. Plug the electrical socket into the "IC board' to see which LED light is out. Buy similar colored LED from any electronic shop and replace it if you know how. If not, get it replaced at any electronic shop where they offer such service. Recommend to change all 4 LED lights. After changing the LEDs, snap the whole clock assembly together, attach the electrical socket and VOILA!!, it is done... Simple as ABC.

the general rule of thumb is at or around 100k miles. this varries with manufacturer, but it is best to always replace no later than 125k

The most common cause is that the gas cap is not seating properly. If your gas cap is loose, re-seat it and wait two days to see if the light goes off, if it does not, see below....

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

Beside the gear box you have to change allot of parts.

Better sale the car and buy one with automatic!

It may be that your window needs to be adjusted. That is all it took with mine.

Fixed my serious (gallons) leak by removing the 2 rubber seals on each side of the top, sprayed them with a slicone rubber dressing and carefully fitted them back.

To change the oil depends on the engine model. Check your engine model first in the registration and go to the technical information in your BMW z3 booklet.

To compensate the leaks or oil consumption (oil burned in the engine) you have to check the level on the dipstick. The oil level in the engine (cold) should be between the two signs on the dipstick. Never over fill and use the same quality of oil.

The manual calls for 93 octane. If you use anything less, you'll find that performance suffers-- and, you'll likely end up getting poorer gas mileage to boot.

Pop the small covers off the screws and remove the screws. Then pry the door panel loose. It's held on with plastic snaps that pop out when you pry with a screw driver or pry tool. Be careful not to scratch anything.

Supposedly superior engineering which in BMW and the VAGs case give reliability.You may or may not be aware that the Z3 is an American and not German manufactured vehicle. Well, not exactly. The reason that they are more expensive is because they constantly change the way they build cars, the technology, and the fact that they are all in some kind of expensive racing program which in turn produces more functional and pleasing cars in the way they handle, feel, and look. If they made cars say like the big three, where each model has parts and designs that are off the shelf, then yes they would be a whole lot cheaper. There is no such thing as a reliable machine, it's a machine and it will have some sort of flaw. Every manufacturer has to deal with their own, and all of them posses problems of their own.
