I think the lens cover has snaps along the top and sides of the lens cover. It also looks as if you would have to loosen the turn signal unit that sits beside each headlight. The headlight lens cover is tucked into a recess along the turn signal unit. It doesn't look as if you would need any tools to remove the old lens covers, but you may need a screwdriver to loosen or remove the turn signal unit next to the lens.

Does it mean that your battery is no good when the light flashes when driving BMW?
Generally when your light is flashing it is indicating that your battery is not charging properly. It usually means that your battery, alternator or alternator belt need replacing or adjusting. Easiest thing to check is your belt so you can start there, make sure it is not loose or frayed.
Next, disconnect the battery terminal while your car is running, the alternator alone should be able to keep your car going. If the car DOESN'T stall then it is most likely that your battery that is no good.
If the car DOES stall then your alternator is defective. To properly test your alternator with a voltage meter attach the ground to (+) positive probe to the main power feed on the alternator and attach the (-) negative probe to the (-) negative battery terminal or ground it on a piece of the car's frame. It should read somewhere around 10.0 - 15.0 amps. Anything less will be insufficient to turn the engine over.
If none of these seem to be the problem then you have an electrical short somewhere between the battery and the alternator.
ADDITIONALLY, i'd like to point out that many auto part stores will test your battery and/or alternator free of charge. So don't be afraid to stop there and ask for help.

Yeah, that doesn't work on the 1999. The E46 3-series built before 6/2000 has a different way of resetting the service indicator. Location the 20-pin round DLC connector. Pop the hood and it's located to the left side of the car toward the firewall. Remove the cover to get at the pins. Locate pins 7 and 19. Turn the ignition to ON, but, don't start the car. For Inspection Reset short pins 7 and 19 together for 3 seconds. For Service Reset short pins 7 and 19 together for 9 seconds. The easy way is to buy a Peake Research oil/service reset tool.

How do you replace the air flow meter on a 1989 BMW 325i?
The airflow meter is located on the air intake duct on the right hand side front of the 325i.
1) Remove the air cleaner assembly from the airflow meter.
2) Disconnect the electrical connector from the airflow meter.
3) Remove the nuts and lift the airflow meter from the engine compartment.
I can explain how to perform checks to see if this is working before you change it if you wish. Please note the idle stabiliser valve and the throttle position switch can cause similar problems.
