How do you tell what size bmx pedals you need?

1 piece cranks need the 1/2 inch pedals while 2-3 piece cranks use 9/16th.

Just to help the newbies out there. OPC or one piece cranks mean the arm that holds the pedal is just one piece of steel that goes from pedal to pedal through the bottom bracket (where the bearings ride). Those only use ½" size threads on the pedals.

3 piece cranks are identifiable as each arm is separate and bolted onto the spindle which is part of the bottom bracket. 3 piece refers to 2 arms + the bottom bracket. Only 9/16" (which are bigger than the ½") threads fit those arms.

Don't forget the left arm is backwards thread, so to loosen you turn it righty tighty. The right arm is normal so lefty loosy to remove.

Can I put 26 inch tires on a mongoose 2.1 ledge?

The ones I found on a net search already had 26" tires, so yes.

Keep in mind though that there are several different 26" sizes, and they're not compatible.

Have a look at the sidewalls of the current tires for a size designation in millimeters.

Should be 559xsomething. 559 is the diameter, and the most important number. The "something" is the width. Then buy tires that are 559 in diameter, and something like 47-54 mm wide.

How can i improve mongoose 26 xr-75 dual men's mountain bike bicycle?

The recommended retail price and the spec list identifies this as really a low-end bike. You're starting from so low that there's really not much sense in spending any serious money on improving it.

Things that are borderline worth doing:

If you mostly ride roads you might try getting some smoother tires.

if the saddle isn't agreeing with you, you might try another one.

Some Kool-Stop (a brand) "Salmon"( a model) brake pads might improve braking.

Apart from small stuff like that, keep it lubed and adjusted and put any "upgrade" money aside for another bike instead.

Is forgotten bikes better than haro bikes?

in my opinion yes. I have a forgotten victim 2010, (the purple one). My only problem i had with it that was major was that I just realized that the little stud on the crank arm that goes into the sprocket is broken, i mean the weld just broke and its practically hanging out and i haven't even had a chance to test the bike on a good set of dirt jumps or a skate park, I wouldn't go by that though. This was yesterday (8th of feb 2011), i got the bike 9 months ago (may 12 2010). The only other problem I have had is that since i bout the bike the rear wheel was of center and kinda wobbly but only a bit, again i wouldn't say that means all forgotten's will have that "defect". Forgotten bikes are good for supplying cheaper (and lighter) bikes with good stats (sealed in bearings, cromoly stuff ect) for younger riders. If you have more money then you could get a better bike such as a colony, WTP ect not kink though a lot of people i know say they're really bad (including me). In other words if you want a good cheaper starting bike with respectable stats forgotten wont let you down, haro might, and haro's are heavy and REALY ugly looking.

How do you do a stoppie?

It is a difficult job. Make sure you are wearing all the protection gear for unfortunate accidents.
You need to practice for some time. Its about right braking of the front wheel and correct body weight transfers.
You should be holding the handle bar for bike straight for practices. Drive at some slow speed which seems controllable ( 20km/h) and then Press front lightly brake while slowly shifting your body weight to the front. Slowly and steadily you can start increasing your speed to 25-30km/h ( ideal speed to learn stopie) and start increasing the amount of break you apply. Make sure you don't press it too much.
I will though suggest you to ask some professional in real life. This will provide you correct guidance while you do it. You can also watch videos to know how to do it.

On the other hand :
In Gta Vice city you are required to press brake and lean forward button to do a stopie.
