What are some activities you can do with a broken wrist?
I'm not sure if you are talking about before it gets fixed (i.e. cast etc..) or after it's fixed. Most wrist fractures are Colle's fractures, and are caused by falling on your hand. If you are generally healthy and young 10-35 yrs old and had a "typical" wrist fracture and were treated properly you should have a full recovery. If you are older 45 and up and or have arthritis, or a severe break etc...you may have some residual problems such as stiffness, pain, decreased mobility, and may be at risk for developing carpal tunnel symptoms, or carpal tunnel syndrome.

How do you fracture foot no pain?
While most foot fractures are painful, you can't use pain as a diagnostic to prove a fracture. Unless you can see deformity of the bone, or you're unlucky enough to suffer a compound fractor (where the bone protrudes through the skin), pain alone is not the gold standard for diagnosing a fracture. I've frequently heard people tell me that sprains and serious contusions actually caused them more pain than a fracture in tyhe approximate area. This is even moreso the case in that treatment for an injury may be identical, be it a bad sprain or a simple fracture. Likewise, you can indeed palpate a deformity of the bone resulant from a fracture without it resulting in serious pain. The only problem is that the bump you're feeling may or may not be a fracture. The only way to tell for certain if it's a fracture is either imagery (x-ray, CT Scan, MRI and the like), or intrusive measures like surgery, which are in almost every case counterindicated. In summary, the answer to your problem is Yes, but you can't really tell if what you're feeling is a fracture.
How long will you wear a cast after a fibula fracture?
6 - 8 weeks.
I have a spiral fracture in my left left of the fibula..This happened 4 weeks ago and I have been in a fiberglass cast ever since. I will be in this cast for 2 more weeks then I will be in a boot for 2-4 more weeks after. The drs have told me not to put weight on the leg as it could compress the 2 separate bone pieces together and make my fibula shorter than before my fall.
I had a Spiral fracture in my distal fibula. There was no displacement (I got really lucky in that respect). The surgeon decided to just put me a in a walking boot. I had an appointment after a week and my doctor told me I could put some weight on it. The Fibula does not bear very much weight. I was walking with the boot after 2 1/2 weeks. After 4 weeks I don't even need the boot.

If it's a somewhat noticeable bump (or lump) that has grown, it could be a ganglion cyst. They may or may not be painful, as they are usually benign accumulations of synovial fluid from the surrounding (and plentiful) joints, but as they grow, they can press on the surrounding nerves and cause discomfort. As always, if accompanied by any other symptoms of redness, heat at the "bump" site, additional swelling, severe pain, fever, chills, stiffness or numbness in the hand, or anything else unusual, you should see your doc as soon as possible, as it could be something more serious or. Ganglion cysts are most common in hands (top), but can occur around other jointed areas. I had one removed from the interior side of left elbow, just to make sure that it didn't 'tentacle' out around any of the nerves.

How do you know when you have broken your ankle?
From a first aid standpoint, unless it's bleeding from a compound fracture where the bone protrudes from the skin, it doesn't matter a lot if the foot is broken or not, as the treatment is the same. Basically, immobilize the injury in place, reduce patient's pain, watch for cirulation problems and consider transport.
From a homecare standpoint, it's a very good idea to get imagery, even though we'd all like to avoid the cost. While sprains and such can be just as (or even more) painful than fractures, broken bones, unless treated, may not heal in a way that allows for all your former moblity and sensation.

How do you tell if your ribs are broke?
What can you do to help heal a broken rib?
I get cortisone injections and use a rib belt
The best thing to do is to have an evaluation by a primary care provider, like a medical doctor or a chiropractor to make sure there nothing more serious going on, like a fracture or a complete dislocation. The chiropractor may try to adjust it and put it back in place. But most often, the best treatment is time. The rib will naturally find its way back into its spot after the muscles associated with it have stopped being in spasm. Massage will probably not help, either. If you are having problems with activities if daily living, like putting on your cloths, eating, brushing your teeth, etc, then it probably is a good idea to see a primary care provider, otherwise, let nature do its thing and it should go back in place in a few days.
I don't know if this is an "improvement" to the answer, but here's what worked for me. I couldn't breath deeply without some serious pain. I was dealing with a head-and-chest cold and needed to have productive coughs to clear my chest. That wasn't a problem, as I didn't need to breathe deeply to be able to cough that way. But one time, unexpectedly and involuntarily my body forced me to breathe deeply on a cough, and it was sharply painful, so much so that I forgot to cough, but as I breathed in deeply quickly, I felt a "pop" exactly where the pain was. At first I thought I hurt myself further, but immediately thereafter I was able to breath deeply on demand and with zero pain. So all I can say is, what worked for me was a quick, sharp, and full breath sucked in. It popped whatever was out of place, into place. Purely by luck.
Unless there are contributing factors, the usually resolvey naturara methid.
In addition to what the person above me said, I dislcoated my rib about 3 months ago and went to both an urgent care clinic (M.D.) and my primary care physician (M.D.) They both diagnosed me with a strained trapezus muscle which did not make sense with the type and duration of pain I was having. I then decided to go to a sports physician who was a D.O., who immediately diagnosed me with a dislocated rib and started performing readjustments. Due to my rib being out of place for so long, the surrounding muscles have become accustomed to the new position, so my recovery may take up to a month with ongoing readjustments. That being said, after a couple readjustments I can definitely see improvement, I can take a deep breath with no pain now, I can even to some light exercise! Moral of the story: Go straight to a chiropractor / sports physician because they are trained with things like these! Also, google this back position that promotes proper alignment, its called "Static back rest". You can do it at home, all you do is lay on your back on the ground, arms comfortably spread out, and rest your legs on a chair at a 90 degree angle. It apparently takes all the pressure off your spine and promotes proper alignment of your back. Whenever I have some pain, I do this and take a deep breath, and 4/5 times my back will pop and feel much better! Although this isn't a substitute for back readjustment, it can help speed up recovery and provide some relief. Also maybe look into getting a heatpad, it helped relax the muscles and made my back feel better as well.

Why do doctors put a cast on a arm or leg?
This is to hold the bones in place in the right position for them to heal properly. If this isn't done, they may not match up properly and result in loss of mobility and function. Increasingly, plaster casts are being replaced in some instances with air-filled casts that use air pressure to hold the bones in place.
The surgeon re-sets your bones back to the correct position, so they can heal. The plaster cast holds the bones in place so they can 'knit' back together - and, so you can use the leg (with limited movement) while the healing takes place.
