How do you break a back?

The first option is to go and see a chiropractor. He deals with backs but it will be a temporary relief because chiropractors cannot heal/fix the under lying damage. Resting or doing nothing is the worst possible thing to do. The "best" option is to learn to fix it your self while the theory/information part is simple the practical application is neither easy or fun, but it is effective.

Is it bad if your thumb is numb and can't move when you a have a broken arm?

Often when a body part is numb and immobile, it is because there is tendon damage. My arm went through a window a few years back, I lacerated the tendon in my thumb. 90% of it was cut and it was not only almost impossible to move, but was completely numb before the surgery.

Is it possible that a thirteen year old girl has growing pains if she crys about pain in her knees especially on the sides of her knee caps If so What causes this and how can you get rid of it?

yes, it is possible for a thirteen year old girl to have growing pains. growing pains can be different in each child, in some children it hurts really bad and for others not as much. you cant get rid of growing pains, they only last a few days. the best thing to do for her is give her some Advil and put a heating pad and ice pack on her legs. keep the heating pad on for a half and hour then put the ice pack on for a half an hour, also tell her not to lay down for a long period of time, or else her legs will get stiff and it will make it even hared for her to walk hope this helping and trust me i went through the same thing and this stuff helped me.

As an AI, I don't have a physical form or hair, so I don't possess a widow's peak hairline or any other hair characteristics. However, a widow's peak is a distinct V-shaped point in the hairline at the center of the forehead, which some people have genetically. If you have questions about hairlines or genetics, feel free to ask!

Which type of fracture do not require surgery?

No surgery is needed in just about any fracture where the bone(s) can be properly repositioned for healing with simple, external manipulation ... examples might be a hair line fracture or most minor green stick fractures.

Unless you have a really bad compound fracture that causes some kind of deformity or loss of circulation in your extremities (toes, fingers, etc.), you probably will not require surgery. The doctor will just set the bone and put a cast on it.

Hip fractures, however, often do receive surgeries.

What should you do about an injured tail-bone it hurts when I get up from sitting I've seen a doctor and apparently it's not broken - please help?

Hate to tell you this, but this is one of those "sit-and-wait" situations, where you simply have to wait until its healed (pun very much intended).

Commercially available "donuts" on which you sit can help keep the pressure off of your painful tailbone. These can result in substantial pain relief, even without any other pain medications.

Also, I would recommend taking ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours while awake. Some of the pain from coccydynia (painful tailbone) is from surround inflammation, rather than actual injury to the coccyx. Nonsteroidal pain medications (ibuprofen, Aleve, etc) help decrease this inflammation and can relieve pain.

These really are bothersome, so it's worth your effort to try and find pads and chairs that make this problem less difficult than it already is. You can speak to your doc about pain control. Also, ice packing (10-20 minutes on, same about of time of) can often reduce the pain.
