I really love Xeoma. I've been using it for a month or so and have no complains so far. Well, maybe, I only have to say it overloads the system at times. But I cannot say it disturbs me and hampers my work.

Before opting for Xeoma I've also tried Blue Iris. But I didn't like it that much. The GUI is not clear and ergonomic enough, in my opinion. Plus, some bugs which appeared after a few days of using a programm...

But even though, Blue Iris is a nice piece of software. But I've been told about Xeoma, I tried it and after the price comparison I decided to go for the latter.

But, again, this is my personal experience :)

Some disadvantages to cctv is some do not have good have a full 1080i or 720p resolution which is now becoming by law a standard, and some cannot rotate and zoom.

The original Minox subminiature camera was invented by Walter Zapp in 1936

Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre invented the daguerreotype process in France. The invention was announced to the public on August 19, 1839 at a meeting of the French Academy of Sciences in Paris. American photographers quickly capitalized on this new invention, which was capable of capturing a "truthful likeness." Daguerreotypists in major cities invited celebrities and political figures to their studios in the hopes of obtaining a likeness for display in their windows and reception areas. They encouraged the public to visit their galleries, which were like museums, in the hope that they would desire to be photographed as well. By 1850, there were over 70 daguerreotype studios in New York City alone.

The aperture ring changes the lens aperture which controls how much light reaches the film or digital sensor.

A large aperture f/1.4 to f/2.8 = lots of light, fast shutter speeds, narrow depth of field

A small aperture f/9+ = much less light, slower shutter speeds, wide depth of field

The highest shutter speed available to you will give you the darkest exposure, while the lowest shutter speed available will give you the brightest exposure
