Candlepin bowling is a variation of bowling played mainly in Eastern Canada, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. What makes the game different from other form of bowling is the size of the balls and the shape of the pins used.

Does the mass of your bowling ball make any difference in your bowling?
Yes. The weight of a ball is one of the most important factors to consider when buying/using a ball. If your ball is too heavy you won't have the speed you need to get the ball to the other end with enough momentum left over to crash through the pins, and also your swing is more likely to go all over the place.

There are 2 row's of dots on a bowling lane approach.
One is at the back of the approach about a foot up from the back edge and the other is about 3 feet toward the foul line.
The center dot is the center of the lane.
