What will eat a mouse?

Mice can be eaten by nearly anything, from snakes & lizards, to cats & dogs, to even birds like Butcher Birds, Magpies & even chickens. Rats will also eat mice.

Rats are tougher critters, as they are more risky to eat. They can be eaten by the same animals mice are eaten by, but they can/will seriously injure their attackers. When you have bottom teeth that grow to just over an inch, you can be quite a vicious biter.

Sometimes, rats themselves are actually the predators, eating baby birds, eggs or even snakes themselves.

How old is it when a mice have babies?

Yes, female mice do get too old to have babies. After they are 1 1/2 years (mice only live for about 2 years) they would be too old because the females hip start to get smaller so it is harder to have a baby. You can breed mice when they are 10 weeks old, but you should do some more research.

How do lawn mowers work?

In zero turn or riding lawn mowers the hydraulic fluid is reused every cycle. First the fluid exits the tank and into the pump, the pump is powered by the engine and the pump's job is to pump the fluid to the hydraulic motors. The hydraulic motors are completely different than the pump. The difference is that the pump needs power from the engine to pump the fluid but the motors need fluid from the pump to make power. The motors have gears and fins and when the fluid exits the pump and into the motors the fluid passes the fins and they move and that makes the gears move and the power is transferred to the wheels.

How does baby rats get to eat rat food?

Would if your pet rat eats rat poison?

Of course; the poison is still in the rat and your dog will ingest this. Since your dog is larger than a rat it won't affect it as much, but lots of dogs will die or get very sick if they eat rat poison by themselves so immediately call your vet.

Never let your dog eat dead animals that they haven't killed themselves (don't let them eat if they shouldn't have killed as well as it will encourage them to kill more) and don't let them eat animals that are being poisoned in your area, eg: rats, mice, rabbits, etc.

Why do mice eat their babies?

it is more likely for adult male mice to attack baby mice if there are two male mice. There have been studies done showing that when mice receive sunlight, the males will not kill/eat the babies. You should place your mice in a room that gets plenty of natural light. However, it's best to keep your mice out of direct sunlight, especially if they are kept in a terrarium/aquarium as it can overheat.

How do you hold a pet rat?

Pick them up by using three fingers (thumb included) to gently pick them up by the BASE of their tail (if you pick them up by the end of their tail, it hurts them and their tail may break off). Handle them quickly and DON'T get nervous or hover your hand over them for ages before picking them up, as this makes them nervous (speaking from experience here).

Place them on the palm of your hand, and keep GENTLY holding their tail if you're worried you'll drop them.
