Can a large turtle and a small turtle of the same species live in the same tank?
Depends on the kind of turtle. Most can but snappers cannot.
ANSWER
YA BUT NOT ANY SNAPPING TURTLES THEY WILL DIMEMBER ANY TURTLE EVEN ANOTHER SNAPPING TURTLE
Answer yes they can! even snappers can! i have a male red eared slider and a common snapper that have been in the same tank for over a year and they seem to get along just fine!
The only thing is you have to pick them up and handle them commonly and watch them both closely
do not take the fact that they can for granted pay very close attention to your turtles and keep all snappers away from children and especially watch them closely during feeding time
snappers attitudes are directly related to how well they are fed and treated
the more time you spend with them the calmer they become
How a mother turtle take care of her baby?
Sea turtles hatch many weeks after the mother leaves, so the easy answer is nothing they don't ever meet there babies
No. The female lays the eggs then leaves. The babies hatch and must fend for themselves.
The majority of land tortoises are unable to swim, as they do not have limbs or bodies built for this kind of activity and lack the webbed feet used by the aquatic turtles. If a tortoise falls into deep water, like a pond or river, then they tend to sink like a stone and drown. However, tortoises do enjoy bathing in water, and will wade in very shallow water. As long as the water level is not above the tortoises head, they are safe. If a tortoise is kept as a pet, it is important to provide a shallow dish of water for it to drink from and stand in. It is essential that the dish is the correct shape and position so it will not tip over when the tortoise tries to climb back out again. There are one or two species of tortoise that are able to float, and maybe swim a little way using a "doggy paddle" style, but these are few and far between and not normally kept as pets.
fruits and berries and most vegetation. they will almost eat anything if available
Bears are omnivores, meaning they will eat anything edible, Meat, grasses, insects, anything that their body can digest.
Baby turtles are mostly carnivorous and their diets should be high in calcium and other nutrients. I would only feed Total Turtle from PNWTurtleworks.com. They are the only pellets formulated by a turtle breeder for high hatchling survival rates. There is nothing better. But still they should get a varied diet with some earthworms, crickets, baitfish, other insects, strips of chicken hearts, and veggies will be added as it grows.
Can pet turtles breathe underwater?
A tortoise is a land-based, shell-clad reptile. They do not inhabit the water. Turtles, on the other hand, do. Both need surface air to survive, but some turtles have special adaptions that let them stay under longer.
No, they need to surface for air. They can hold their breath for quite a long while though.
No, but they can hold there breath for a couple min then resurface back to land
Turtles like dogs and people arent in desprate need of company but it would help prevent depresion.

How old can a hawksbill turtle get?
Age is difficult to determine for any sea turtle, but it is estimated that sea turtles in general live to be about 80 years of age.
In the Disney Pixar movie, Finding Nemo, a hawksbill turtle named Crush that Marlin meats in his journey, says he is "One hundred and fifty, dude, and still young!" This is, of course, completely fictional (because as much as I've been training him, my terrapin refuses to talk!) but it makes the implication that we simply don't know that much about sea turtles, and that there is much to learn.
What is the smallest soft shell turtle?
The Kemp's ridley is the one of the smallest sea turtles weighing between 75 to 100 pounds. Their shells are heart-shaped, oval or round. Their shells range in color from gray (in young turtles) to shades of olive green in adults. Kemp's ridleys are the most critically endangered species of all sea turtles.
Diet: The Kemp's ridleys are shallow water, benthic (ocean floor) feeders. They eat mostly invertebrates (animals with no backbone). Various types of crab seem to be their favorite food, but they also eat shrimp, mollusks, fish, and sea stars (starfish). They use their slightly hooked, strong beaks to crush their food. Like many other sea turtles, they migrate hundreds of miles from their coastal feeding grounds to their nesting beaches.
Reproduction: In 1947, over 40,000 female Kemp's ridleys nested on just one beach! This remarkable, simultaneous nesting is called arribada or arribazones. The phenomenon is unique to Kemp's and olive ridley sea turtles. At around 7 to 15 years of age, the Kemp's ridley has reached sexual maturity (the age when females begin to lay eggs). From April to June, adults mate off the coasts of Tamaulipas and Veracruz, Mexico. Females lay approximately 100 eggs in each clutch every 10 to 28 days each year.
Unfortunately, the world may never see large arribadas of Kemp's ridley again. By the mid 1990's, the number of nesting females had declined from more than 40,000 to only several hundred. One basic problem is that they have only a single primary breeding area. At Padre Island, Texas scientists established a second, experimental site but it has produced limited success. Historically, hunting and overharvesting of eggs have been the major threats to Kemp's ridley populations. Currently, human activities, including population growth and the resulting pressures on coastal habitats, ocean pollution, offshore oil spills, and floating debris pose serious threats to their survival. The Mexican government protects only a portion of the nesting beach. The rest is open to construction and other disturbances. The coastal areas of Rancho Nuevo do not allow fishing during nesting season but enforcement is inadequate. Kemp's ridley are also killed as bycatch (incidental catch) in shrimp trawlers, gill nets, hook and line, and crab traps.
I will be quite honest with you by saying until you asked the question ... I had never heard of any such creature.
When I searched the web I found a few really funny pictures of a frog/turtle like thing which states that it burrows under ground and lays it's eggs there.
All I can say is it looks really fake and doesn't appear like it can do much of anything. By it's design it looks like easy prey for anthing that moves on the planet.

Mud turtles natural habitat is in northern and eastern America
Well it depends where they live because if they live in the desert or in a really hot place they will either bury underground or find water and live there. If its a cooler place or a place that has lots of mud then the turtles will live in that instead. i hope this helps ;D
Do in hurt turtles when they laying there eggs?
Not directly, however there are a number of related complications. A turtle which cannot find an adequate nest can become egg-bound and die; additionally producing eggs uses up a large amount of energy and nutrients such as calcium and an unhealthy turtle can become overstressed.
Where do water turtles lay their eggs?
Turtles tend to prefer sand, however some species use sandy soil or regular soil. Locations are often chosen for soil temperature, humidity, and protection from predators. In high predator areas the location tends to be protected areas such as sandbars, in other areas beaches and sidehills are used.
yes. I have 2 females Red-Eared Sliders each 21 years old and one has laid eggs every couple of years for at least the past 10 years
