Is the Galapagos Turtle real?

Yes! They are called "Galapagos tortoises," by the way. They live in the Galapagos Islands, which are 13 main islands and many smaller islands, all of which are off the coast of Equador in South America. Galapagos tortoises are huge, the biggest tortoises alive today, getting to be up to 660 lbs (300 kg)! They eat about 70 lbs. of food, and sometimes a lot more. There are 12 different species of Galapagos tortoises, but two of them are extinct.

The remaining Galapagos tortoises are labeled as "threatend" and "vulnerable."

A lot of people mistakenly call tortoises "turtles." A turtle is water-dwelling (either sea or fesh water), omnivorous and flat shelled, while tortoises are land-dwelling, vegetarian, and have dome-shaped shells. Also, tortoises are really, really slow (average speed for a Galapagos tortoise is .18 mph!) and turtles are actually surprisingly fast.

What the difeence between the left and right twin World on turtle's back?

The left-handed twin killed their mother when he was born because he didn't want to be born the normal way, while the right-handed twin was born normally. Also the left-handed twin always lied while the right-handed twin always told the truth. So basically the left twin was evil and the right twin was good.

Is there any harm to turtles if the water in the tank is 50 degree or lower?

It depends on where the turtle originated from, if it lives in the South, South East or South West than it is dangerous, but if you live in Minnesota, Wisconsin, any other northern state or Canada than it would be better, but not completely good, you need to keep it about 60-70 degrees.

What do tortoise eat?

Depending on the type of tortoise, diet could range from vegetables and fruits to worms and crickets. Most tortoises are vegetarian, but all tortoises could use a little protein once a month. A good protein source is a little wet dog food or live food such as meal worms. A processed tortoise food is a great addition to meals. My tortoise appreciates Land Turtle and Tortoise Fortified Food by R-Zilla. This can be found a Petco. A meal should consist of various veggies such as lettuce or spinach (but spinach should be given in small amounts only). Fruits are great for them. Good choices are strawberries, blueberries, papaya, raspberries, etc. Feed once a day and always have fresh water available

The above is a recipe for disaster! First of all dog pellets cause deformities in herbivore tortoises! ALL the protein they need they get from leaves and some natural weeds! Lettuce an spinach are not suitable either and can cause major health problems. Fruits are a NO! They should only be eating plants and weeds that grow in your garden! Young tortoises will die in 4-5 years if given the diet above and older tortoises will live longer but with major health issues ! Don't ask a vet or an expert at a pet-shop, most people are misinformed and will give you the wrong advice by accident. NO meal worms. This only applies to herbivore tortoises though so make sure you know the difference !

EDIT: Never, ever, EVER feed an animal food that is NOT part of it's NATURAL diet ! Since WHEN did tortoises come across 'dog food' in the wild ? As a herpetologist of 25+ years, I would NEVER feed a tortoise on dog-food ! Even if it is '..an addition to meals...' !

How do you hibernate the red neck slider you currently have him in your pond but need to bring him in for the winter?

First of all it's called Red-EARED slider. Secondly if you keep it home he shouldn't hibernate. Unless you really need it, then you have to keep the water always clean and provide the turtle with enough food. Red-Eared Slider should go into hibernation state when the temperature of air drops below 10 degrees. But still I advice you to keep him out of getting into hibernation.
