Cat hairballs are a modern day occurrence. They started when man started breeding longer hair longer hair cats. Now the frequency in which cats expel hairballs depends on the amount of hair the cat has, the more hair the more frequent the hairball.

It also depends on how frequent the cat grooms itself. The more frequent the cat grooms, the more frequent the hairball.

Kittens as young as 8 weeks old can be spayed or neutered. It's not really necessary to have it done THAT early, but keep in mind that cats can start having babies as young as 4 months old. So don't wait too long!

Also, getting it done when the kitten is still very young -- like 8 to 12 weeks -- is supposed to be better for their long-term health.

Your first clue is that the cat does not step on the foot. Naturally there may be something else wrong with the foot. But if the cat does not step on it´s foot, you really need to contact a vet.

I think you mean a fishing cat. They are about the size of normal house cats. You would get a better description in a book about big cats or a book about fishing cats.

It depends..

The age of the kitten is important.. Kittens can get milk.. it just depends on how old they are. 3 months is the right time you can feed them milk if they are suppoted on their mother's milk. However.. if the kitten does not have a mother, it is encourged that they are to have milk. You are welcome!!

Many cats and kittens have trouble digesting cow's milk- upset tummy. There are milk replacements you can get from a vet if you need to nurse an orphan kitten- but would pass on cow's milk. Remember, they are kittens, not calves.

Kneading is a sign of affection. It is trying to show you affection.

The cat milk will not have all the nutrients, or enough of the nutrients that the squirrel requires. I'm no expert and i don't think it will hurt the squirrel but it would be better if the baby squirrel could have its mother instead. or course if the mother is out of the option you could always talk to a vet or wildlife management; there should also be plenty of info on the web about it; but don't feed it processed milk. if the cat will let the squirrel nurse then go ahead and let it be but look for other options because there may be something in the cat milk that would be detrimental the the baby squirrels health.

i have been doing much research in this department lately, as the same thing is happening at my house. what i have learned is that it is most likely a case of "misdirected aggression" meaning that something or someone has spooked one of your cats & he is now "taking it out" on your other cat. also there is a chance if the undeserving cat was out of the house (like at a vet visit) the cat that remained at home doesn't recognize the new smells attached to the cat that was away. i have been told to just try to act calm & normal & hopefully time will remedy the situation. they do sell a product at pet supply stores called Feliway or Rescue Remedy that helps these situations. it is a plug-in (like Glade) diffuser that provides "feline-friendly pheromones" to help the cats get reacquainted with each other. i am going to the store today to buy it. good luck to you!

Because biting is their way of playing. So when they're happy they will play. Make sure though, you don't let your dog bite you too hard otherwise he/she will think it is ok to bite you!

It could be that she is bored with her food. Sometimes cats get tired of eating the same food every day. My cats are especially picky; whenever I go to the pet store, I always buy a few different flavors of each brand of cat food they have, so as to give them as much variety as possible.

The cat might also have a mild respiratory infection, the equivalent of a kitty-kat cold. Cats won't eat unless they can smell their food, so if her sense of smell is being affected by a cold, she won't eat, no matter how hungry she is.

Mild infections like these usually clear up on their own, but you should take the cat to the vet anyway, just to be safe. My suggestion is to try giving her some different kinds of food, and if that doesn't work, make an appointment with your vet.

To keep the cat away from the couch or from acting out certain behaviors all you need to do is run to the nearest drug store, beauty supply, dollar store, etc to purchase a cheap water bottle sprayer (example: like a bottle sprayer for your hair). Put water in the bottle and put the setting on stream where it will shoot a stream vs. just mist and voila you have a homemade pet sprayer. This should start eliminating the bad behaviors.

Just remember if they are not acting out badly to reward them with treats and love.

Cats dont chase away their kittens until the kittens are atleast 1 year old. In some cases this may change but it is most common at the ages for the young cat to leave their mothers house.

yes its fine to keep outdoor cats locked up at night. it keeps them safe from cars and lots of other things.

we keep my cats( they live outdoors) in our shed a night, we also feed them there. now they go there everynight waiting for food.

It can vary. It totally depends on the severity of the bite and time and place. It can range from you just getting a cut to rabies, cat scratch fever, or other diseases. It depends where you live in the world. All major brands carry a food for kittens. The best foods are the ones with a high Named (labeled Chicken, Turkey, Beef, Lamb, Tuna etc.) meat content. the kittens may feel cold and need to find a warm place and your lap is perfect for that.

the kittens may need to feel your love, they may just want your hand around them while rubbing them.
