18 years on average. I had one cat who lived to be 18, and one who lived to be 21. The one who died earlier was the one I expected to live longer, and I never expected the other cat to live for 21 years. Both of them were put down, the younger one had to be put down because a lump was growing in her mouth that was stopping her from eating, and the other one I could notice getting thinner each day, the vet couldn't even feel her kidneys, and she wasn't really eating. She had to be put down in November in 2008

Cats dont usually gag after drinking water. If your cat does then i strongly recommend visiting the vet, as it may have something stuck in its thoat that gets disturbed when drinking water. You can wait for a few days and if the cat continues to gag then take it to the vet. Though i doubt it there also could be a problem with the water.

I hav two of my own cats, but hav often had to deal with stray cats and homeless animals. Try to tempt it out ... show it you are a friend. Giv it some semi-skimmed milk or tuna .. maybe the milk first because it could be dehydrated, and milk is bad for cat's digestion, so food would be best later. leave the food out, then when you can, leave some ina cat basket, then try to catch it and take it to your local animal shelter. Well, with my cat and my new kitten, I slowly introduced them, but if they became uncomfortable I simply separated them. So I recommend just taking it slow and not to rush or form them to be friends. They now play together and really enjoy each others company.

No, it is not ideal to feed a dog cat food. Dogs love cat food because cat food has much more protein and fat in than dog food does. Cat food does not have the correct nutrients a dog needs - cat food has lots of added nutrients that cats cannot synthesize themselves but dogs can, so dogs fed on cat food can get too much of certain nutrients, and also become overweight from too much protein and fat.

first try a short little whisle not too long is this scares him or her stop because not all dog enjoy this sound (yeah try food too)

When people say 'Think outside of the box' they mean think creatively.

Special cat milk that is especially designed for them is best. If you give them human milk they get an upset stomach. Cat milk isn't that expensive and its not hard to get hold of either. :)

The best way you can stop cats from digging in your mulch and most other parts of your garden is to buy one of those cat sillhouette features ith the glass eyes. These are well known cat repellers as they look like another cat staring. As staring is a form of challenge to cats, they will generally get uncomfortable and stay away. They definetely won't do the toilet anywhere near it.

Alternatively, some more natural methods would be laying twigs (without leaves) on top of where they are doing it, planting plants such as geranium, lavender and rue, making hazelnut shell mulch or keeping the soil moist by giving it a quick spray with the watering can or hose a couple of times on a dry day (cats hate muddy paws).
