Because of the overpopulation of cats in the US many spay and neuter programs are available for feral cats. This is extremely helpful in population control, their are so many cats that not only are the majority homeless, but many have diseases, that can continue to spread through the feral, and stray cat population, and even to outdoor homed cats.the living condition's for feral cats can be appalling, and would only get worse if the population got larger.

How do you get a chipmunk out of your house?
Prop up a laundry basket with a stick. Tie a string to the stick. Do this setup where you are seeing the chipmunk. Put his favorite treat under the laundry basket. If you don't know what to use as bait, use birdseed, like sunflowers from your wild birdseed store. When he goes under the basket, pull the string. The string will pull on the stick, which drops the basket on him. I know it works, because I do it all the time and catch chipmunks. Hope this helps.

Cats can live for weeks without food; however, they can only live for several days without water,

No cat is an omnivore. Cats, whether they are a lion, leopard, or any other cat, are predators and obligate (strict) carnivores, which means they get all their needed nutritional needs from meat, organs, bone and sometimes stomach matter from the prey.
Usually this is classified as a "growl" in terms of a dog. The sound can be released from the back of the throat of the dog, which emits a low, rumbling noise that usually means contentment, happiness, and/or comfort. dogs do this in prepreation to bite.

How do you help your kitten get attached to you?
This is probably more your kitten's choice than yours; cats are very independent even if they are cuddly bundles of love when young. The saying is that dogs have owners; cats have staff. But if you care for it, feed it properly and play with it a lot, spend time with it and learn to read when it wants to be left alone, your cat will be friends with you for its life. Best friends? It happens naturally with dogs. With cats, as mentioned above, that will be up to kitty.
Cats sleep anywhere from 16 to 20 hours a day. For very young and very old cats, it's near the upper end of the range, and newborns sleep almost 24/7. Cats are nocturnal which means they spend at least part of the night awake.
Well, I was told that you start feeding a kitten adult cat food at 9 months. So I would gather a kitten becomes a cat at 9 months of age :) (not long enough I say)

Is it ok to have babies around cats?
From my experience of having three babies in the house, sleeping with, at the time, 5 cats. Yes. The majority of cats will keep a wide berth of a baby. Some may curl up with the baby while it sleeps, this is said to be a problem. If you are worried about it, create the cot/crib as a "no go zone".. Everytime you see your cat in it (if bub is or not) one squirt with a spray bottle will do. This doesn't hurt your cat and by doing this all the time the cat will keep clear of the babies bed which wets it. Be perdistant, if you don't have a water bottle handy, call the cats name angrilly and clap your hand. I know this may sound bad but it works. Animals use a fear and affection approach at dicipline. A mother cat will growl, spit, hiss and swat a baby kitten into doing as its told. So mimicking this action (without swatting) will not harm your cat. Immediately after they are out of the cot (after a "yelling" and spray) praise them. You are then rewarding the cat for leaving the cot when asked. If you are over 10 seconds late in rewarding the cat, he/she will not understand the training. Its not that they don't have an attention span, its more they have got over what happened.
How do you potty train a 6 week old kitten?
Actually they would start using the litter box even before that. When the mother cat uses the litter box in front of the kitten, the kitten becomes curious and wants to try what its mother is doing. Kittens would usually climb into the litter box and smell around and then use it. No, actually you have to show the kitten where the litter box is. In some cases, if you see him or her pee, go up to her, say NO, and then pick her up and take her to the litter box and show him or her THIS is where to "go".
