Can you house break a dog using cat litter boxes?
I suppose anything is possible with time and patience :-))
It seems to me that dogs like to raise a leg when they go perhaps if you installed a lamp post in the middle of the litter box it would help? (joke joke)
Why don't your cats get along with your cat that just got back from the vet?
You didn't say if your can was neutered or spayed. If it was this could be cause for them not getting along. Toms (not fixed) will actually beat up another male who is neutered. YOU ARE THE MASTER so start acting like it. I use a plastic fly swatter on a table or the floor and mean business! This breaks up any fighting, they know YOU mean business and things will settle down quickly. This works no matter what the problem is. I NEVER hit my pets, just the table or floor with that good old yellow fly swatter. It's magic!
What do you do when a pre-mature kitten won't suckle?
Worst case scenario, you can go to a pet store and buy kitten formula and a nursing bottle. Follow instructions listed on the formula.
Answer
I had that happen once. The kitten, unfortunately, had a cleft palate and couldn't suck. So, there may be something wrong with the kitten. Be sure you hold the kitten upright if you end up feeding it with a dropper. They are prone to pneumonia.
Why has the cat had a sudden behavior change?
It could be because someone was mean to it or something frightened it. If there were a lot of people in your house at one time it could have gotten scared or nervous.
How do you train a kitten to poop in the litter box?
You have to keep putting it in the litter box until it gets the idea as to why it's there. Move it's feet around in the litter so that it can get use to the feel of the litter. Once it does it's job in the box, it should continue to do so. Be consistent and patient. Good luck.
Usually under a couch or in small places. At least that is where mine do.
Addendum: A surprising number of domestic cats will hide inside the box springs of a bed.
How do you know a cat likes something?
Well it depends on the mood of the cat. My family in over the years I've being alive about more than half of them likes me. One is I do not harm the cat in any shape or harm. Two gently I pet the cat and three the cat will start to purr, purring is a sign of affection or enjoyment of the cat to the person. One of the cats i own loves to follow me everywhere and this might be a sign the cat likes you. If the cat gets angry its anger will go away in a few hours its a typical cat in a daily life.
If it likes you, it might:
What is a suitable food and drink to give cats?
All cats are carnivores, so they get all their nutrients from meat. If a cat has access outside, it could eat small birds, mice, rats, and other small animals. Cat food with a high meat content is very ideal, as it provides the cat with all it needs.
As for liquid, cats do not drink much. They have evolved to get all needed moisture from their prey, which is why feeding some wet food daily or investing in something like a pet water fountain is important.
What is a characteristic of a cat when it purrs?
Because that's their way of telling you that they are comfortable around you. For example, if you scratch them under the chin, they will like it and will start to purr.
What does it mean when a mouse wags her tail?
Tail-shaking in mice is usually a signal of agitation or anger. My boys sometimes will shake their tails at each other right before they have a fight. (These fights are quick, by the way--I would separate them if the fights got dangerous.) I imagine it means the same thing in babies. though it could also be an act of playfulness rather than aggression.
How long would you sleep if you slept like cats?

Is it normal for a cat to give birth then give birth again three days later?

Is it a bad thing when a kitten purrs?
Of course not. If a kitten or cat is loudly or seems like it is purring to much, it's simply showing affection and love. If you have major concerns, you should contact your veterinarian.
How does a wild cat adapt to its environment?
Wild cats easily adapt to the given habitat. These cats are carnivores. It consumes every part of its prey. These cats rarely need to drink since meat has high water content.
What type of cat is better female or male?
A female cat will have fits every month when she's in heat, unless she's spayed, and male cats can spray urine on walls if he feels his territory is threatened (e.g. other cats, rowdy dogs). I've had a pair of Siamese sisters for two years and they're the best cats ever. I've had males in the past, and fixed/unfixed cats of both gender, but I personally prefer spayed females. They're more chill than their male counterparts.
AnswerI find male cats are a lot sweeter, while females tend to be "stuck up" and fend for themselves. fixed and unfixed.Often, female cats may be described as: disdainful, independent, cool, unfriendly, cheerless, etc. Male cats are proven to be more friendly and loving, but they may also be needy, which doesn't work with a busy owner. I would fully suggest a male cat, however in a strange case, my 9-year-old female housecat is attracted to male members of my family and is very friendly with them. She avoids me and other female members of the family. However, her 7-year-old daughter is bonded to me and my mother alone. We don't know what caused this but we believe that Crystal (the mother) was abused by a female person before we adopted her at about two years old. She is very timid and shy and we were informed upon adopting her that she had been abused and then abandoned.
How long do tom cats stay away from home for?

What does it mean when your cat makes a weird sound whenever her kittens come near her?
She is just greeting her kittens.
Should you remove the sac from a newborn kitten?
The mother cat will bite, chew, and eat the sac. If she takes too long, break the sac away from the kitten's face. But otherwise, let her finish doing it. Her licking stimulates the kitten to breathe. IF mother is in distress, grab a rag, hold the kitten inside the rag using both hands and vigorously rub to remove the sac and stimulate the kitten to breathe--then take mom and ALL kittens to the vet.
Why would cause a cat to attack you at night?
It just depends on if you leave it alone or mess with the cat.
If you mess with it than most likely it will attack you if you do the following actions:
Now if you leave it alone most likely it will leave you alone and just walk away.
Yes. Especially if you are giving a lot of attention to another cat. They're like children in that they can be jealous about sharing affection. They have various ways of showing it, mostly by misbehaving.
Now envy, they don't really feel; I doubt any cat has looked at a kitten and thought, "I wish I were that cute" or "if only I were a Siamese."
How can you stop a cat from hissing?
Check to see what it wants. If the cat has food, clean water, a clean litterbox, and you've paid attention to it in a reasonable amount of time today, then maybe you should take it to the doctor.
However, I can't shut my cat up when it wants to go outside unless I don't care how much he begs until he gets tired an let it go.
Why does your cat eat his own fur?
you should put a collar or something around its neck that prevents it from eating its fur
If a cat is eating its own fur, this is usually a sign of distress or possibly skin disease. The cat could be come quite ill, so I would advise taking it to the animal doctor or a local animal welfare centre as soon as possible for a check-up.
Can a cat tell when a human is sick?
No. If a cat meows a lot, it either wants something from you (food, a door opened, to be petted) or it just likes talking (certain breeds are known for this.) Some cats will meow more than others.
If a cat is in pain, they may cry out, especially if you try to touch the effected area. But this kind of shriek is very obviously a cry of pain, and is different than a normal meow. Sadly, if a cat is sick, it is very hard to tell; like most predators, cats attempt to hide anything that is wrong with them, so they won't be seen as weak. If a cat is sick the signs are usually very subtle: decreased appetite, low energy, glazed eyes, etc.hhh
