If you can see it sits ribs when its walking. However, the best way of checking is to feel the cat's side, or the back of the head. If the bones are prominent (especially at the back of the head), it is likely the cat is underweight.

If you are unsure, it is best to take it to a vet who can check the cat over and give you a decisive answer.

When a kitten is born it is totally dependent on the mother cat. At birth kittens eyes are closed and can't see for about 2 weeks. The purring of the mother cat attracts the kittens to the mother for comfort and nourishment. The mother cat normally will stay with the kittens for about 3 weeks except for going food and going to potty.

Shortly after birth the mother cat will check to see if the kitten moves inside of the sac. If it moves she then opens the sac by licking it with her tongue. Then she will clean the kitten. During this process she will cut the umbilical cord with her teeth and eat the after birth (placenta).

but when a cat rubs up against your legs its a cats way of saying to you "i own you" you know cats are teritorial. which is a fact......now the hissing im guessing is them telling you like....they are not playing or im serious! but ask another opinion about the hissing part. hope this helps.

Cats urinate through the same mechanisms as most land mammals. They store up urine in the urinary bladder, then when the urinary bladder is full they look for a safe place to urinate at. Typically cats prefer to bury their urine, so they will often look for soft dirt, sand or other absorbent/draining surfaces to urinate on. They posture then relax the sphincters around the urethra to allow urine to flow out, often accompanied by contractions of the urinary bladder to fully empty it out. Once done, the cat will often circle around, sniff the area to see how strong the odor is, then scratch the surrounding surface with their front paws to cover the urine and mask the scent. One exception to this is an intact male cat who is marking his territory - he will often spray urine around at tail height deliberately as a way of warning off rivals.

first answer: Paper is not good for rabbits, especially if it is newspaper. It is the ink on the paper that is poisonous, not the paper itself.

different answer: In North America at least, the ink on newspaper is not poisonous at all. Long, long ago, ink contained lead and other toxic compounds, but that's just not true anymore. Newspapers, city phone books, and other low-grade papers are perfectly safe for your rabbit to eat. See the link below for details.

Don't give your rabbit high-gloss, slick paper, lots of bright colours, bleached white papers, etc. because these could be dangerous and unhealthy. Stick to plain newsprint and cardboard products with few colours.

Remove tape, stapes, labels, etc. from all papers before giving them to your bunny.

My guess would be your cat was neutered relatively late in life, after he learned sexual behaviors such as spraying or caterwauling. If a tom cat is neutered prior to learning these behaviors, they tend to not express them. However, once a tom cat has learned these behaviors, even in the absence of testosterone from testicles they will still express the behaviors.

It is also possible that a small portion of testicle was left during the surgery, although this is extremely rare.

When first litter training, it is a good idea to place kitty into the litter box after each meal, before bed, and a few more times a day.

When two evenly matched, well armed animals fight, there is a danger that both may be injured. Therefore many such animals have developed a series of ritual postures and sounds that show off their size and intent for aggression before the physical battle starts. Hopefully during this display a weaker animal will recognise the strength of the other and flee before any fight starts.

I'm not sure, but it is most likely just being friendly with you. Cats do all kinds of crazy cute stuff!
