How much does a Cessna 152 airplane weigh?

It can vary quite a lot, depending on equipment fitted and paint thickness etc.

Older radios and instruments can be heavier than modern versions. Aircraft have to be weighed periodically, to see if they have put weight on, as take off and landing weight has to be worked out.

Maximum take off weight, is 1670 lbs, or 758kg. If the aircraft weighs 1170 lbs, then you need pilot, passenger and fuel to be 500lbs or less, to ensure a safe take off.

What is the price for a 1977 Cessna 172N?

This can vary quite a bit by the condition of the aircraft and the type of avionics equipment it has.

A non-flyable 172N with no logs and parts missing here and there (a basket-case) is worth around $5,000 to $10,000

A dog-eared 172N with torn upholstry, faded paint, but otherwise perfectly flyable (and has all its logs & ADs up to date) would be worth from $25,000 to $35,000

A well cared-for (or recently renovated) shiny 172 with all the legals and stuff sorted. Is worth $40,000 to $50,000 and maybe up to $60,000 and $70,000 if its never been used as a trainer, has a full IFR panel, STOL kit or some other specialty mod.

Before purchasing any aircraft, you should have a pre-sale inspection done by a reputable aircraft mechanic. Feel free to discuss the purchase price with them.

How much does it cost to fill up a Cessna 172 sp?

Cessna 172s hold 56 gallons of fuel. At Felts Field in Spokane, 100LL aviation gasoline is $6.27 per gallon as I write, so it would cost $351.12 to take the plane from completely empty tanks to completely full ones.

What is the best price for a used Cessna 340?

currently prices going down, have been for 2 or 3 years. Should continue to for the next 3 to 5 years. 160,000 to 280,000.

Is it hot inside a Cessna airplane?

It could get pretty warm inside the airplane. It also depends if the aircraft has an A/C unit. Most general aviation aircraft don't due to the price tag of them. But there are vents that could be opened to let air in once the engines are started. Or you could always open a window to let in some air.

How much fuel does a Cessna 172 burn?

Depending on the engine in a 172 they will burn from 6-10 gallons per hour

Is a Cessna 152 easier to fly than a Piper PA-38 Tomahawk?

YES AND NO.

Firstly, the 152 is a more forgiving aircraft, but many people prefer the Tomahawk (PA38) for it's techniques.

In terms of performance:

Cessna 152- 110HP engine. 90KT cruise speed. 14,000 Service ceiling. 800FPM climb

PA38- 115HP engine. 118KT cruise speed. 13,000 Service ceiling. 750FPM climb.

So, the 152 is nicer to fly as it climbs quicker, but when in the cruise, the PA38 is faster.

I would recommend flying the 152. It is a better aircraft to train in and also VERY stable.

I agree, C152 everytime. the fact that a lot of flying instructors refer to the PA38 as either a Terrorhawk, or Traumahawk is a clue to it's popularity.

How many gallons of fuel does Cessna 172 carry?

Standard tanks hold 42 gal. long range tanks hold 56 gal.

What does a Cessna 406 Bush plane cockpit look like?

I suppose that anyone looking for this answer has just read Hatchet. Hatchet is a wonderful, award winning young adult novel. However the author, Gary Paulson, erroneously called the small two-place airplane, that is so critical to the story, a Cessna 406.

A Cessna 406 was actually a high performance twin engined, turbo prop aircraft. The aircraft seated 6 persons and could carry 3,000 pounds and cruise at 450 miles an hour at high altitude.

I got my answer to this question from Cessna's website then called the customer care number listed there.
