your engine is overheating, change your thermostat first, if that doesn't fix the problem check the rest of your coolant system (hoses, lines, core, radiator,ext.)

It might be lean when the choke is fully opened. Leaking vacuum lines can often cause a lean condition.

It's also a possibility that the coil is not performing at full capacity and gets worse as it gets warm.

Usually on one of the valve covers attached to a rubber hose going to the emissions system. the valve covers are the "upside down bread pan" looking things on both sides of the engine.

The timing is off. it will need to be hooked up to a hand held computer system at a shop to correct this.

The normal oil pressure on a GM 305 engine is between 40 and 60 PSI depending on the model year. High oil pressure is needed to allow for proper circulation through the engine.
