What is the top speed for a 1991 Chevy Camaro RS?
Although the 1991 Camaro rs has the potential to be a vrey fast car,the speed is limited to 110 mph by means of a fuel shut off chip located in the dashboard.
Answeri have replaced the stock chip(extremely easy to do)with a chip from eBay which removes the speed limiter.that let me hit 145 on a flat freeway with two over weight passengers and a bunch of camping gear.probably about 500 extra pounds.i then replaced the stock manifolds with pace setter shorty headers and a high flow y-pipe.i welded a Flowmaster super 40 series muffler directly to the end of the y-pipe(sounds amazing).i removed all stock emissions and topped it with a k&n filter.i replaced the stock speedomiter with an aftermarket 220 mph speedo and changed the speedo gear to match my 18" panthers.after all that my tranny went out so i bought a monster 700r4 off eBay with a 2200 stall.the speedo was checked for accuracy and i went out for a top speed run.it reached 165 real quick and slowly climbed to 175 and was done.i have the 305 ci v-8 and tbi. so for almost $3000 i gained 65 mph on the top end. it was pretty impressive for an all stock block and rear end.PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ON THE STREET,ITS NOT SMART AND I SHOULD SMACK MYSELF FOR DOIN IT. AnswerI have a completely stock 5.0L 305 v8 91 Camaro R/S, haven't done anything to it other than regular tune ups. Couldn't tell you the exact top speed cause the speedometer doesn't go high enough but there is no fuel shut off in mine. I've had the needle completely buried on many occasions and it was still gaining speed. I'd say at least 130mph but could moreWhere is the 02 sensor on a 1986 2.8L v6 camaro?

What is every possible cause of your 92 Camaro RS 305 TBI overheating?
I had this problem with mine. I had to hook the cooling fan up to a toggle switch, the previous owner didn't know what he was doing and messed up the wiring to the fan when he was working on it. I tapped into my radio hot wire and ran a toggle and live lead to the fan. Other reasons could be bad thermostat (doesn't open), coolant sensor not kicking in the fan, might even be bad coolant.
I found my overheating problem, and this should ice the cake for overheating issues on this particular Camaro. If you have a good fan, coolant temp sensor, intake and head gaskets, coolant, hoses, no leaks and consistent fluent level, good heat, and everything seems absolutely fine, you might have a problem with the physical guage itself. When I replaced my dash light, i played with my temp guage needle while I had everything apart, and indeed I found a "rough" spot in the needle. What I did was pull the needle to its 'outmost' position where i felt "smoother" operation, and put it all back together. Since then, my car hasn't overheated at all (it never was overheating to begin with!)
If your Camaro is overheating, I suggest getting a computer hooked up to your vehicle's computer and make sure your vehicle's computer says it's overheating. When I did that, I noticed my guage was off anywhere from 30-50 degrees. it never went over 200 degrees, yet the guage would say 250 sometimes. Luckily, playing with my temp guage needle fixed my issue, but I did fix a few leaks and put a much needed intake gasket on first.
Watch out for the Orange antifreeze... it eats the gaskets away!!!
Find an element with a female bird as part of its name?
We generally call a female bird a hen. There are two elements with the "hen" in them: ruthenium and rhenium.
Yes they can and do stick. I suggest that you take it to a certified repair shop as low heat is sometimes needed to remove it. To much and you melt the connection.
Are Camaro v6 coil springs the same as a v8?

Will a Chevy 454 big block fit in a third generation Camaro?
Yes. The engine bay of the 3rd generation F-Body cars (Camaro & Firebird) are large enough to accommodate the Chevrolet Big-block engine with very little modification. We currently own such a car that was built (along w/ 19 others) by a dealer in upstate New York when new. The engine fits very well, with all underhood metal staying intact. There is no need to cut the shock (strut) towers, or make any other structual modifications at all. This particular car uses stock GM motor mounts, and bolts directly to the original 5 speed transmission bellhousing. It will also bolt to most any GM rear wheel drive automatic transmission as well. The fuel pump should be changed to a Holley unit if engine mounted (non-electric) to allow better line clearance - stock pumps will hit the steering linkage. Depending on how originally equipped, many of the brackets (A/C, alternator and power steering) can be re4-used, or are easily obtainable from performanve vendors. Lastly, fo installation into cars originally computer/fuel injection equipped, care must be taken with wiring to ensure that all gauges, cruise control and auto transmission controls will still operate. Again, the aftermarket has many adaptors to 'fix' any electrical issues.
Si el motor se caliente tanto, trata de siempre poner al aire frio. Siempre chequea el antifreeze, que hay suficiente cantidad, si no el motor se VA a destruir.

My 1998 Camaro's AC compressor will not engage the fuses and relay are all good Any ideas?
This could be because you have a leak in you A/C system causing a loss of freon. When there is not enough freon in your system the A/C compressor will not engage, it will harm the compressor.
Your 1992 camaro will start up and run good but when given gas it will die?
Happend twice to me thought i messed it up, but realized that after changing my tbi unit gasket the two fuel lines in the back of the unit got slightly pinched. The 1990-1992 are really touchy with the fuel lines so unscrew the fuel line at the back of the tbi
and replace with new one. PS mine ran good for 5 minutes then chuged and died and even pumping the gas would not work until the fuel pressure wentdown.
Whats the top speed on a stock 1990 camaro rs V8 5.0L?
You were obviously in the process of wetting your pants when you looked at the speedometer, but not everyone is a good driver. To get to your answer, your car tops out at 115 Mph. Although the top speed is set to about 110-115 Mph, it's easy to disconnect the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) from the ECM. The top speed will then rise signifficantly. It should then be capable of doin' 160+ MPH :) it also depends on your final drive gear. the lower the number the higher your top speed ect. 3.73 will have a higher top speed than 4.11. and i dont mean to burst your bubble but i highly dought that you can reach 160 plus b/c your engine only has about 170 horse power. and i researched that. if is the ho version then you have about 230 horsepower and even then i still dont think that you would be able to exceed 160. though its only rated at 170 bhp it has 255 ft-lbs of torque it could probably make it
I have a 91 z28 5 speed 305 rated at 230hp. The only aftermarket part is a Flowmaster muffler and I've topped it out at 240km/h which is very close to 150mph. I don't think I'll do that again though, the road gets pretty rough at that speed. I believe my final drive gear is lower than even the 3.73 listed above. -- just re-read your question and see that you have an RS, I do believe your engine should be 170hp.
The stock Twin cam 2.4 can handle this kind of boost, GM actually made a supercharger (i have it in a sunfire 2.4), when installed by a GM dealer, the car kept his warranty on the engine and it boost 5 psi, can be modified to run like 7-8psi maybe 9psi but you have to cool the supercharger with alcool injection kit and I'm not sure if the internal part of your stock engine will handle it
