Where is the oil sending unit located on a 1989 Chevy Camaro RS with a 305 engine?
I believe it is located right above the oil filter. It screws into the motor block and will have 3 wires attached to it with a plug.
How do you test the fuel pump on a 1985 Chevy Camaro?
cheap way: disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor or fuel rail and crank the engine, if it starts shooting out it works (at least partially)
otherwise take it to a shop and have the fuel pressure checked, that's cheaper than buing a pressure gauge yourself
or... get a wire that's long enough to run from the positive side of your battery to the ecm diagnostic port under the dash just to the right of the steering column. after you hook one end to the battery, touch the other end to the first prong in the second row of the ecm port. this will bypass everything and energize the fuel pump directly. you will hear it come on in the fuel tank, though sometimes its very faint. but just because you hear it doesnt mean the fuel pressure is steady, that will still have to be checked with a gauge at the fuel rail valve.
How do you set timing on a 1989 Chevy Camaro RS?
get a timing light clip the power lines to the batt. spark plug end to the #1 plug wire as close to the end as you can. find the pointer, should be above the crank pulley, disconnect the white/brown wire along side the passenger fender. start the engine and point the light at the pointer. watch for the mark to line up witht the pointer.
How much money can a car salesperson earn?
This depends on where they sell, what they sell, and how much they sell. I know people that sell American made cars that make 60-70,000 a year and I know people who sell imports that make up to 200,000 a year and forget about people that sell planes and boats, they live large...
a quarter, two cookies and a pat on the back.
If it was running okay before you put the new fuel pump on, try this.......disconnect the negative battery cable and let it sit for 15 minutes. During that time, open the throttle body and make sure the blade is closing all the way except for the tiny gap which is to permit the car to idle. After 15 minutes or so, reconnect the battery, and start it.
If this doesn't make a difference...did you also change out filter when you changed the fuel pump?
If you did, did you put it on to flow the correct way?
If you didn't change the fuel filter......change it now.......a lot of junk gets sent to the fuel filter when you change out the fuel pump.
Also try your map sensor this regulates the amount of fuel pressure to the inside of your manifold to be the same outside. The Throttle position sensor is also a culprit of this symptom.
I have the same car and mine did the same. I tried a new map sensor and that didnt work... Needed a new intake manifold gasket... Later it started again and would only idle if you kept the RPMs up, replaced the alternator and now it runs like a champ
I had a similar problem that would only happen when the engine was cold. it was a bad temperature sensor.it wouldn't raise it own idle to warm up and would want to die right away.

What kind of gas does a Chevy Camaro take?
depends on engine... compression ratio etc. i have a 94 lt1 with 10.5 compressin ratio most car engines are 8-9.5...:( 91 or better won't hurt if you don't need it. but if you do you will notice a knock or pinging sound under hard acceleration or going up hills.
Why was the Camaro discontinued in 2002?
Because of ever increasing crash safety standards demanding a complete redesign of the car before 2003 model year, and flagging sales of the old model, Chevrolet wasn't in a position to develop a new Camaro at the time. In retrospect delaying the arrival of a new Camaro built up demand that made the new model a great success.
How to get more power of a 92 Camaro rs?
Im assuming its a 305tbi?, cant do a whole lot with that motor, its not worth boring out and stroking for the little power you will get out of the 305, the best thing to do is get a 350 in there. If you wanna keep your 305 get bigger gear ratios in the rear is the best you can do with it. I had the stock 2.73 non posi in mine..I got a rebuilt 10 bolt 3.42 posi from a 92 z28 and it made a good differance plus it had the rear disc brakes and you dont have to deal with your crummy rear Drums. Remember tho if you do that swap you will also need a proportioning valve from a 89-92 rear disc comaro because the drum prop valve is not enough power for the discs.
Where Are the grease fittings on a 1997 expedition?
Ford Expedition Only Has Two Grease Fittings. Front Suspension Grease Fitting Locations ( Upper Ball Joints And Lower Ball Joints Grease Fittings.) On Driver and Passenger Side.
How To Apply Grease:
Wipe The balljoint grease fitting clean and push the nozzle firmly over it. Squeeze the trigger on the grease gun to force grease into the component. The balljoints should be lubricated until the rubber seal is firm to the touch. Do not pump too much grease into the fittings as it could rupture the seal.
FYI: Ford Only Makes Two Grease Fittings On Their Pickups and SUV. So if you have any problems with bushings, you will have to go back to Ford to get them replaced or find a mechanic who can replace them without the high cost that Ford will charge you or do them yourself if you have mechanic skills. As on the other hand Chevy Pickups and SUV are great, Chevy has a total of Fourteen Grease Fittings for the entire vehicle suspension. All You have to do is get a grease gun, get under the truck and grease all fourteen fittings. Believe me take it from someone who learned first hand. I have a 97 Ford Expedition myself w/ 215,000 miles and still running great no transmission work yet. (thank god)..... Don't get me wrong Expeditions are great SUV but Ford could have made more than 2 grease fittings. You actually need the fourteen grease fittings like Chevy SUV but you don't.
Actually there are 2 more fittings on a 97 Expo that shouldn't be ignored. The Idler arm has 2 grease fittings. Keeping this lubed up will greatly extend it's life, which is one of the weak points on the Ford expo like the dang igcnition coils....MY KINGDOM FOR RELIABLE COIL PACKS!!!!Sorry, got off track there. The Idler arm is part of the steering system, and resides on the passenger side of the Expedition, close to the front. It may be covered by grease and dirt, but the bottom fitting should be in plain view. If you can't find it, Google "Ford Idler Arm" and you'll get hundreds of pics that show it, and show it in place so you'll know where to look.
Why does the air only blow out through the defrost vents on my 1989 camaro rs?
either you have a vacume leak under hood or the diaphragm is blown on vent selector
