I would suggest a set of winter tires for extreme conditions, however the car is just as average as most any other car in the winter. (I drive my truck in the winter).
Overall this car is not dangerous, No recalls. The GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & tolerances) specs of this car are very very specific and I'm VERY sure GM Followed all the prints. I would suggest this car to anyone.
